This document summarizes a study that examines the effect of education on income using national survey data from Thailand. It finds that while education has a positive effect on income, the effect varies across different levels of education. Specifically, education higher than secondary school significantly increases the chance of higher income. However, living in Bangkok increases one's odds of higher income by 7.4 times, suggesting other variables may have a stronger impact on income than education alone. By accounting for factors like urbanization and occupation, the study aims to more carefully evaluate discrepancies in the effect of education reported in previous literature.
