Most cities across the world are looking at transforming into ‘smart cities’. With the world becoming exponentially digital and data increasing in volume and value, smart cities are now becoming more of a necessity. Most of the countries have been using Digital twins for an effective plan, design, build and management of the cities. While there are different kinds of systems within a city, in this webinar, we discussed four core systems of the city namely: 1) Healthcare system 2) Water management system 3) Safety & Security system 3) Environment system.
Read the report for insights on - creating city twins, predicting the city's future, empowering city administrators to take preventive and proactive actions using digital twins to improve health, safety, traffic, environment, infrastructure in Cities and insights on how to improve the city's Gross Happiness Index.

Introduction
Cities are often defined as complex connected systems that allow for collaborative processes to better human
lives. Such collaborative processes, if technological in nature, can also help tackle complex challenges for cites
like traffic congestion, air pollution, water management and more.
Digital technologies pave the way for smarter and sustainable governance of cities and urban planning
processes. Comprehensive data exchange, modelling and simulations help create a digital model of cities that
are virtual in nature and replicate the physical world. These digital models are called digital twins for cities that
are brought to life through sensors and data analytics, AI, machine learning and drones that feed real time data
into them. These in turn help visualise the pulse of a city in real time and help create smart cities around the
world that address several challenges pertaining to environment, health or safety.
We brought future tech experts together to discuss “Digital Twins for Secure, Green and Healthy Future Cities”
and help understand what digital twin technologies are and how they can be used to improve sustainability and
efficiency of cities.
