This document provides tips for digital storytelling and taking photos. It then gives advice on storyboarding, using a landscape format, getting a variety of shot types and angles, capturing natural expressions, including establishing and concluding shots, and ensuring proper photo credits.

Pictures Storyboard the shoot Landscape format far better than portrait Good mix of photos – wide, mid range and close ‘ Arty ’ is good Take several photographs of each ‘ thought ’ Too much posing is bad – try to get people looking natural, doing something then follow and just shoot, shoot, shoot… Your ‘ subject ’ shouldn ’ t be in every shot, think laterally, or shoot close-ups Think of good opening and closing shots If you haven ’ t taken the photos, check what credits are needed – and web copyright clearance
