TRULLO is a system that uses context lifting and bootstrapping to provide recommendations for unknown sellers in a mobile reputation system. It works by having users rate items, from which it extracts latent features using singular value decomposition. These learned features are then used to estimate ratings for unknown sellers. The system was tested in a simulation of an antique market setting and was shown to increase user utility while requiring little knowledge and providing recommendations quickly. Further research is still needed to handle unknown contexts.

The feedback received on the trailer, billboard, and magazine for the scripted reality soap provided useful insights. Respondents correctly identified the target audience as teens aged 16-25 and the genre as a scripted reality or soap. However, some did not fully understand what the show was about from just the promotional materials. Suggestions to make the soap more appealing included showing more characters, storylines, and using multiple songs in the trailer rather than just one. Overall, the promotional products linked well together and achieved some of their goals, but could be improved by providing more clarity on the show's content and characters.

Our main product was a 5-minute horror film called "Casecosis" filmed in a forest setting. We produced a film poster and review as ancillary texts. The poster features the main actors and forest backdrop to advertise the film. The review provides a summary and rating to help audiences decide if they want to watch. Both ancillary texts effectively feature the main actors and use similar black and white aesthetic and font as the film to clearly link them together. The combination of the film, poster, and review promotes synergy and creates promotion greater than any one product alone through their interconnection.
Question Three

During the planning stage, YouTube was used to research existing horror films and reviews. Photoshop was used to create the film poster and review, allowing editing of images and use of filters.
