CityFibre is a company that designs, builds, and operates fiber optic infrastructure in many UK towns and cities. They have deployed over 30,000 km of fiber and went public in 2014. They are building out a fiber network called the Peterborough CORE to deliver gigabit internet speeds to businesses and organizations across the city. The network build started in April 2018 and will be completed within 12 months. Over 500 businesses have already pre-registered interest.
