Guaymas is a municipality located on the coast of the Gulf of California in the state of Sonora, Mexico. It has a population of 149,299 people and its economy relies heavily on fishing, agriculture, ranching, industry, and tourism. Fishing, in particular shrimp fishing, is the most important economic activity and main source of income for Guaymas. Other key industries include food production from seafood, ranching of cattle, and manufacturing related to the aerospace industry.  Guaymas's Municipality is one of 72 municipalities in
