This WebQuest guides students through a research project on Greek mythology. Students will:
1) Research a god, goddess or figure from Greek mythology.
2) Prepare a 3-minute monologue in character, retelling a myth and including important facts.
3) Perform their monologue for the class in costume with props.
The WebQuest provides evaluation rubrics and directs students to websites for research. It aims to assess student understanding of Greek mythology.
Uniform circular motion describes an object moving at a constant speed in a circular path, caused by a force directed towards the center called the centripetal force. While velocity is always tangent to the circle, acceleration and centripetal force are always pointed towards the center, meaning the object is constantly accelerating even if its speed does not change. The equation for centripetal force is Fc=(m)(ac), where Fc is centripetal force, m is mass, and ac is centripetal acceleration.
The document discusses steps for solving trigonometric equations: 1) isolate the trigonometric function, 2) use an inverse trig function to find one solution, 3) use the unit circle to find a second solution, and 4) use periodicity to state the general solution. It provides an example of applying these steps and notes that sometimes isolating the trig function can be more difficult for more complicated equations.
Heart disease is the number one cause of death worldwide. It is caused by a buildup of fatty plaques in the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart. This buildup is called atherosclerosis and can lead to chest pain, heart attack, or sudden cardiac death. Indians are especially at high risk for heart disease due to genetic factors. The main risk factors that can be controlled are high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, obesity, and physical inactivity. Maintaining a healthy diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, exercising regularly, not smoking, and monitoring medical conditions can significantly reduce risk of heart disease.

This short document discusses different activities people engaged in during a gap of time. Some people were occupied with warfare while others focused on romance and intimacy. The document provides little other context about the nature of the gap or the specific wars and relationships mentioned.
2007 Training Program In Elementary Mathematics 1Leopold Laset
The document summarizes observations and recommendations from resource persons regarding math teachers, lesson guides, and curriculum. It notes that teachers are highly motivated but lessons could be improved by standardizing numbering, instructions, and continuity. It also finds the curriculum too broad in scope and lacking depth. Recommendations include simplifying lessons, adding relevant exercises, and improving instructions as well as coordinating better training with fewer distractions and advance preparation.
The document discusses safe digital social networking and poses a series of questions about privacy, security, and age-appropriate interactions on social media sites like MySpace and Bebo. It asks whether profiles are fully protected, if users have experienced stalking, if parents want their kids' accounts deleted, if these sites are safe for young kids, and if communication with unknown age groups or lack of oversight makes the sites safe for children.

The article discusses an impending climactic moment. It builds suspense by not providing any context around what exactly this "final moment" entails. In just a few words, it hints at an unknown but potentially dramatic conclusion to some unspecified event or situation.
This document discusses key concepts related to graphs of polynomial functions, including:
- Extrema (maximum, minimum, relative maximum, relative minimum points) and where they occur on the sample graph
- Zeros (x-intercepts) and that the sample function has four zeros
- Increasing and decreasing intervals based on the slope, with the function increasing where driving uphill and decreasing where driving downhill
- Positive and negative intervals, referring to where the function is positive or negative based on the y-value.
Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before. Explore Geo on iPhone & AndroidBess Ho
A Star Trek fan developer will tell her story how she learn Objective-C, Cocoa-Touch Framework, MVC model, CoreLocation Framework to build her first two Tricorder apps “Sound Tricorder” and “Doctor Tricorder” in Apple App Store. She will explain mapping options in iphone SDK. She will explain how to use 3rd party SDK framework to detect geographic coordinates in both iPhone and Android app. Surely this will be a fun entertaining way to learn Geo in mobile.
