Terraform refers to the infrastructure similar to the code tools which helps out in defining both clouds as well as on-premise resources. Users can use it as a consistent workflow provision for managing the infrastructure.
Infrastructure as code with terraform and packerAlex Landa

Running dozens and even hundreds of cloud servers is a common day to day scenario for many companies. To keep up with the configuration settings and to be able to track the changes, infrastructure must be treated as code. In this talk we will introduce Terraform and how it enables us to define infrastructure in code and how can we use Packer to define images that we are planning to deploy.

Terraform is a tool for building infrastructure in the cloud. When you start using Terraform it can be confusing, you might fall into issues and see yourself trapped into a problem which can result in an infrastructure not fully automated or error prone. This talk will show you best practices and tricks I have learned while building a Kubernetes infrastructure in AWS using Terraform.
Maintaining your whole infrastructure using Terraform and reusable modules makes most of our lives easier, but when those less familiar with DevOps want to create or update resources, you usually either have to train and enable them to use Terraform, or handle the request yourself.
However what if you could offload the execution of those changes to a centralised tool and just review both the code and output being submitted for review? Atlantis, Terraform Cloud or env0 can act as a PR-based feedback loop for a hosted Terraform executor to make self-service a little bit easier.

The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason

What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as ādistorted thinkingā.

Operation āBlue Starā is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
Ā
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesarās dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empireās birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empireās society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
1. Important concepts about Terraform
Providers- Providers are in charge of developing and managing resources. Terraform is
built on a plugin architecture. The provider binary will be downloaded and installed using
the āin itā command. AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and others are examples.
Resources- These are small building pieces with one or more infrastructure components,
such as a virtual machine, a subnet, or a load balancer. Because the resource name and type
server serve as an identification for a specific resource, it must be unique.
Modules- Modules are used as containers for many resources that may be utilized to
organize configuration code and make it reusable. At least one module, known as the ārootā
module, is present in every Terraform configuration.
Input variables- The input variables are used to define your infrastructureās configuration
values. If it needs to be modified, these values can be utilized frequently without recalling
every occurrence.
Output Variables- After the infrastructure has been deployed, the output variables are
utilized to obtain information about it. These can be used for providing information to the
server, such as IP addresses.
Terraform Remote- You can run Terraform in a remote environment with shared access to
the state to share infrastructure responsibility. The remote backendā is the name for this
capability.
Important Terraform Commands
Terraform version- This displays the Terraform version currently installed on the system.
This might be useful for identifying problems or new methods to work with the current
version.
Terraform plan- Generates a plan for executing Terraform. To ensure that the Terraform
state is up-to-date, it reads the current state of any pre-existing remote objects. Then, the
current state is compared to the previous state, and the differences are calculated.
ā¢ A set of change actions is proposed to make the remote objects fit the configuration. The
changes will not be implemented as a result of this.
ā¢ If this proposal meets your expectations, it can be implemented later.
Terraform fmt- This converts Terraform configuration files to a standard format. Because
the canonical format may differ slightly between Terraform versions, this command should
be executed on modules after upgraded Terraform.
Terraform providers- These display information about the configuration provider needs in
the current working directory.
Terraform validate- This command verifies that a configuration is internally consistent and
syntactically correct.
Terraform apply- The actions specified in a Terraform plan are carried out using this
command.
Terraform destroy- This command destroys all remote objects handled by a Terraform
setup.
Terraform import- Terraform may import infrastructure that already exists. This
command enables us to put resources developed through other means under Terraforms
control.
2. Terraform show- Converts a state or plan file into a human-readable format. This can be
used to check a plan to see if the planned operations are as expected or to check the present
condition.
Terraform output- The value of an output variable is extracted from the state file by
Terraform output. The result will show all of the root moduleās outcomes with no further
arguments.
