 Materials development is basically dealing with selection, adaption
and creation of materials.
 Materials development refers to anything which is done by writers,
teachers or learners to provide sources of language input in ways
which maximize the likelihood of intake.
 The importance of materials-as-content act as a stimulus for
communicative interaction and materials-as-language serves the
purpose of information about the target language input in ways which
maximize likelihood intake.

gap between the classroom and the world outside.
Language learning and teaching have been further transformed
by the rapid development of a wide range of technology-
mediated resources, materials, task and learning environments.
