Development Labs is a group of young enthusiasts who want to promote new ideas from youth to help create a sustainable future. Their vision is to help disadvantaged people through honest and transparent collective action against social and environmental challenges. They leverage existing networks of agents of change to efficiently fight social and environmental problems. Their priorities include engaging youth and supporting small grassroots NGOs working in remote areas. They develop awareness campaigns, help NGOs with projects, create documentaries, and offer CSR courses for students. Their approach focuses on transparency, accountability, and utilizing a business-like model to enable community benefits through increased awareness and changed behaviors.
$2.3 trillion has been spent over 5 decades on solutions for the poor, but these solutions often do not reach the intended beneficiaries due to a lack of feedback and accountability. Traditional aid and government programs fail because there is no mechanism to ensure the needs of consumers or constituents are actually met. Social enterprises provide a blended value by balancing social/environmental returns with economic sustainability through earned income, addressing issues like lack of accountability. The document discusses initiatives that provide funding, training and support to early-stage social enterprises in South and East Asia, including programs supporting youth entrepreneurs and community development organizations.

However, it also goes beyond the readings in introducing the WikiScanner and all it has uncovered. This implies that the real issue may not be what Keen calls the "endless digital forest of mediocrity", but the fact that "Wikipedia entries are being used as a medium for corporate propaganda".
Seminar presentation of the article Cutting the trees of knowledge: social software, information architecture and their epistemic consequences for Digital research and publishing course.
Mobile at a Glance - A user centered approach for better ROICronos Mobile

It recommends focusing on three pillars: global flow, inspiring discovery for users through sensors and features of mobile devices, and defining the audience through personas and customer journeys. The approach involves prototyping early, learning from iterations, and keeping strategies adaptive over time.
This document discusses how social software and information architecture are changing how knowledge is organized and shared. It explores the shift from printed materials to digital networks and interactive communication online. Issues around open access to information and the nature of social or networked knowledge are also examined. The role of social networks in connecting people to establish truth and the potential of new data arrangements to change what is known are considered.
