MU-Electronics presents VIBE, a certificate-less asymmetric encryption scheme for IoT device authentication that offers the security of PKI encryption without difficulties of public key and certificate management. VIBE uses a device's identity rather than public keys, requiring only the identity be stored on the backend system. The trusted center only needs to protect its master key. Any new registered device can integrate within the system securely using its identity to establish authentication and secure communication without certificates.
