• Central Sq volume = 1mm x 1mm x 1/10 mm.
• Central Sq divided into 25 small Sq. therefore, dimension of each small
Sq will be 1/5 mm x 1/5mm x 1/10mm.
• Find out the sum of all WBCs in corner 4 and central most Sq, say (X).
• (X) no. of WBCs present in 5 small Sq.
• (X) no. of WBCs present in 1/5 x 1/5 x 1/10 x 5 cumm.
• (X) no. of WBCs present in 1/50mm³.
• In 1/50mm³ X no. WBCs present.
• Therefore, in 1 cumm – 50 x (X) no of cells precent.
• Dilution is 1 :20.
• Undiluted blood is (X) x 50 x 20 million / cumm.
