kinds of spoon,fork and knife or
flatware that we use. But before we
discussed that,can someone give
any idea what is flatware?

I think flatware refers to spoons, forks and
knifes.
1. Salad/Dessert Fork – It hasflatter
and slightlybroader tines than
those of a dinner fork, used when
vegetablesand saladsare served.
2. Fish Fork – usuallysmaller than
meat fork and usedin eating fish.
3. Dinner Fork – It is used to eat the
main entrée.
4. Cake Fork – It is narrowerand
slightlyshorter thana salad fork
thatis used when serving cakes and
other pastries.

utensilsthat are used to serve and
eats foods, such as, spoons,forks,
knifes which are flat in design.

8. Dessert Spoon – It is an oval shaped
spoon thathas the lengthmidway
between the lengthof the table
spoon andteaspoon which
primarily used when the dessertis
served.
9. Soup spoon – It is used when the
soup is served.
10. Serving Spoon – Muchlargerthan
the spoon usedfor eating. It is used
to move foods from main dish to
individual plates.
11. Fish knife – It has a varying shapes
and sizes which are usedwhen fish
is being served.
12. Steak Knife – It is a special knife
thathas a sharptip and serrated
edges to cut thick portionof meat.
13. CarvingKnife – It has a straight
edge; shorter, thinner,wider blades
thatenables it to cut slices of meat.

thathas variety of shapesand sizes
depending on the bowls whether it
is round,ovalor fluted.

Then, I will give you this chart
containing pictures of different
flatware we’ve discussed. Allyou
need to do is match the correct uses
to the right flatware. I will give you 3
minutes to finish it. After that, you
can paste it on the board

have we discussed.
Each team will be given 5 minutes.
Finish or not both teams need to
stop after 5 minutes. The more
flatware you did the more points
you’ll get.

When do we usuallyuse this kind of utensils? Very good. In tablesetting there are different kinds of spoon,fork and knife or flatware that we use. But before we discussed that,can someone give any idea what is flatware? Very good. (The studentwill raise a hand and answer) I think flatware refers to spoons, forks and knifes. 1. Salad/Dessert Fork – It hasflatter and slightlybroader tines than those of a dinner fork, used when vegetablesand saladsare served. 2. Fish Fork – usuallysmaller than meat fork and usedin eating fish. 3. Dinner Fork – It is used to eat the main entrée. 4. Cake Fork – It is narrowerand slightlyshorter thana salad fork thatis used when serving cakes and other pastries.

Dessert Spoon – It is an oval shaped spoon thathas the lengthmidway between the lengthof the table spoon andteaspoon which primarily used when the dessertis served. 9. Soup spoon – It is used when the soup is served. 10. Serving Spoon – Muchlargerthan the spoon usedfor eating. It is used to move foods from main dish to individual plates. 11. Fish knife – It has a varying shapes and sizes which are usedwhen fish is being served. 12. Steak Knife – It is a special knife thathas a sharptip and serrated edges to cut thick portionof meat. 13. CarvingKnife – It has a straight edge; shorter, thinner,wider blades thatenables it to cut slices of meat.

Analysis Now, I will groupyou into four. Then, I will give you this chart containing pictures of different flatware we’ve discussed. Allyou need to do is match the correct uses to the right flatware. I will give you 3 minutes to finish it. After that, you can paste it on the board 6. Generalization (The studentswill discuss and do the activity as told) Flatware refers to table utensilsthat are used to serve and eats foods, such as, spoons,forks, knifes which are flat in design. Activity I will group you into two teams. Each team will representeach color. The team 1 will be the red team and team 2 will be the yellow team. With the use of this clays. I want you to create a flatware based on what have we discussed. Each team will be given 5 minutes. Finish or not both teams need to stop after 5 minutes.
