The investments include buying a new press and automating liner production, as well as developing a DIY pool kit and floating pool. Desjoyaux also plans to launch a self-assembly pool kit for 7,000 euros as it seeks to capitalize on the growing do-it-yourself market while maintaining its reputation for concrete pools with a 10-year guarantee.

The pool manufacturer Desjoyaux is investing 4.5 million in its production facility in La
Fouillouse close to Saint-Etienne (Loire, France). It is going launch a DIY swimming
pool as well as a floating swimming pool.

4.5 million euros. The programme includes buying a 1,100-tonne press in addition to
its existing industrial estate, automating the production of liners with integrated
staircase, modernising its coping and paving workshops, as well as producing new
injection moulds. Desjoyaux sticks to its integration and investment policy which have
reached 60 million euros for the last six years.
Mobipool, the floating swimming pool by Desjoyaux
While he celebrated the 50th anniversary of the family company, Jean-Louis
Desjoyaux also intends to continue its innovation strategy. With Mobipool, the group
from the Loire department gambles on a floating swimming pool, “an innovative
concept developed in Asia by my brother Pierre”, explains the pool manufacturer’s

Mobipool in the entire Europe in 2017.
Other innovation in the pipeline: a self-assembly swimming pool, sold for 7,000
euros. Desjoyaux wants to ride the “do-it-yourself” wave without denying what built its
reputation, “concrete swimming pools with a 10-year guarantee”. This Kitty range will
be launched during the 2017 spring.
Enough to foster the growth registered during the first three months of the 2016/2017
fiscal year in line with the last one which closed in the end of August. Its turnover
increased by 16% in 2015-2016 at 82 million euros, with a net income of 4.8 million
euros and 155 employees.
In fifty years, Desjoyaux has established itself as the first world network for in-ground
pools construction. With over 210,000 projects in 80 countries, it has built its
development on two major innovations: pipeless filtration and active permanent
casing.
