DESIRE Society is a non-profit organization established in 2004 in India that aims to improve health and well-being for those living with HIV/AIDS. It operates across four Indian states and has multiple projects that provide institutional care, health care, education, nutrition, and social support to children affected by HIV/AIDS. The organization also offers voluntary counseling and testing, treatment for opportunistic infections, and assistance obtaining antiretroviral drugs. DESIRE Society accepts donations to support its work caring for HIV/AIDS patients and children.

About Us DESIRE Society is a non-profit voluntary organization established in the year of 2004 and registered in year 2005 under Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act, 2001 (Act no 35 or, 2001) in Hyderabad. Functioning in India covering with Four states, i.e. Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Maharastra Objective : - Health development and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA).

3. HIV/AIDS in INDIA 1. India shares 10 %of global HIV burden and 65 per cent of South-East Asian population. 2. Awareness on AIDS is low in rural places even in Big cities. 3. Discrimination on AIDS patients is higher than any other countries in the world. 4. Southern and North eastern Parts of INDIA is worst affected.

4. Our Objectives To Give Awareness about AIDS in Rural Areas. Community Level support for the Kids/Families affected by the HIV. To reduce the morbidity and mortality of the PLHAs is the main objective of this project. To offer stigma free voluntary counseling and testing for HIV patients and their families. To help PLHAs in antiretroviral (ARV) drugs from Govt & monitor them in drug adherence. To support orphans and vulnerable children infected and affected with HIV by all means. To offer quality treatment for Opportunistic Infections (OIs), it helps CD4 cell growth in HIV+ lives.
