There are several methods of tip forming. Most are limited to small size catheters or have a slow cycle rate. We
are not limited to any catheter size or type. We use state-of-the-art induction heating technology, yielding the
fastest heating rate and greatest cost effectiveness of any system on the world market.
Precision tip forming, or changing any configuration of plastic tubing, requires heating of a forming die followed
by a quick chill to retain formed memory. Ercon Catheter Products uses Ameritherm Solid State RF Induction
Generators in all of our Tip Forming Systems. Only induction heating and our automated controls can achieve
the desired mold temperature within seconds, making our equipment an effective production tool. Our Tip
Forming Systems offer the highest production output per dollar invested of any equipment on the market. Our
horizontal machines can tip one, two, or four parts at once. The tubes are processed on the fixture horizontally
to achieve a cycle time of 8-15 seconds depending on tube size and material.
Open or Closed End Profiles, Tapers, Flares, Bonding Plastic to Plastic, or Plastic to Metal are all possible.

reason, many of our clients are repeat customers. Ercon has developed systems for many leading catheter
manufacturers throughout the world and our International client list is a tribute to our outstanding service and

With the purchase of equipment, up to two days of training is provided at our facility. Training programs at the
customer site are offered at a fee. Our technical staff will go into detail on the set-up, operation, maintenance
and troubleshooting of the machine. aintenance is easy and limited, and changeovers can be accomplished in no
longer than 10-15 minutes.
With Ercon's experience and expertise, we are in the position to meet your entire catheter forming applications,
regardless of catheter size and production requirements. We will work with you from the concept and design
phase, providing you with clinical samples. Ercon's technical staff will support you through pre-production,

We take pride in offering systems meeting strict quality standards. We design into each system the highest
quality materials on the market. Our systems are built to last, and offer improved output quality year after year.
Do you have automated systems?
Yes, depending on the application Ercon develops systems offering the highest production output per dollar

Are you limited in the size of catheters?

Yes, our systems are extremely easy to use, and product safety is a number one priority. Our world-class quality

What are your lead-times and cost?
Each system is unique, and we do not have a standard off the self product. Our systems have a very robust life
cycle, and we are proud to offer some of the best lead-times and lowest cost in the market today. The average
lead-time for a complete system is between 3 weeks to as long as 16 weeks depending on th complexity of the
project.
