Cath Kidston is a leading UK designer known for her bright, patterned products for the kitchen including tablecloths, napkins, placemats, trays, cutlery, aprons, tea towels, and glassware. Students looked at Cath Kidston's designs and noticed each element of the pattern was identical. They experimented with different materials like polystyrene, card, and clay to make identical stamps. They also printed patterns using fruit like apples and oranges as well as a potato to make a teddy bear shape. The students used Cath Kidston's techniques to decorate their own items like biscuits and Valentine's Day cards.
