 Avoid toothpaste and toothbrush
 Don’t give baby bottle in bed
 Use a damp washcloth
 Gently wipe cloth over teeth

4.  Parents assist with brushing
 Give rewards for good brushing
 Let child pick toothpaste flavor
 Pass time by singing songs

5.  Let small children independently brush teeth
 Biyearly visits to the dentist
 Talk about good brushing habits
 Observe child brushing teeth

6.  Avoid sugary foods like candy
 No Soda or caffeinated beverages
 Make water your drink of choice
 Eat your vegetables

7.  Give your children the right start
 Set a good example for brushing
 Encourage brushing and flossing twice daily
