• When people are making thriller films they aim to target a specific audience of people with thriller
films they tend to aim it around teenagers and young adults.
• People enjoy thriller movies because they have relatable people and sometimes events that some
people may feel or have experienced before. For example people may of experienced something
supernatural before and now they have grown they want to see others experiences whether its
fictional or not. And they may include things that get peoples attention to make them want to
watch it like a specific actor or director.
• They also may like these films because they are always released into cinemas on a Friday, with a age
restriction of 15 so a younger audience can watch it on a weekend with friends. This typically more
girls than boys because boys play video games and football in there spare time whereas girls just
chat and socialise with eachother.
• Also the statistics show that a lot of people aged 50+ enjoy thriller films because when they were
aged 15-20 they would have been to see films like the Blair witch and nightmare on elm street and
now they are being remade with better technology to mainly show to the younger audiences.

could be because its around the age that people start dating so they may go with them to feel

• This means that our film should be more relatable towards the females. We also
need to engage more males by including things they like explosions and jump
scares so when they watch the film with a date they can comfort her if she gets
scared. This group of the population could be about 37% which is people aged 14-

• Also I saw that a lot of people aged 50+ like thriller films so we could add
something that is similar to the old thriller films to make them more enticed to see
it.
• We also need to be careful about religions and different ethnicity's as they have
different views and we don’t want to loose that portion of society from watching
our thriller film.
• We need to consider why the people go to watch thriller films because most
people aged 14-24 which is 37% of the general population these people probably
go for leisure so we need to make it more entertaining for them so they don’t feel
bored.
