2. AYUB KHAN
• Muhammad Ayub khan was born on the 14th may
1907 in rehana, a village in hospital district in hazara
religion of north-west frontier province (Khyber
pakhtun khwa).
• He studied at Ali garh Muslim university in Uttar
pardesh, India and the British royal military college
at sandhurt.
3. AYUB KHAN
• Ayub khan was commissioned an officer in the Indian army in 1928 at the
rank of second lieutenant.
• After the partition between India and Pakistan he joined Pakistan army.
• He was rapidly promoted in army of the Muslim state of Pakistan, from
major general 1948 to commander in chief 1951 and after three years he
became the minister of defence for a brief period.
• After some years in 1958 he was declared as military dictator by Iskandar
mirza on octomber 1958 .
• And ayub khan declared himself as president of Pakistan
4. BASIC DEMOCRACY
• Muhammad Ayub khan’s concept was, that
every state should have their own political
system but democracy cannot run in every
country so he gave basic democracy .

• A number of 1000 to 1500 men and women should elect their
representative.10 elected numbers and 5 nominated numbers will be
constitute a union council or union committee.chairman should be from
elected members.there will be secretory who will be a secretory will deal to
all the works.

7. TEHSIL OR THANA COUNCIL
• Their work was to ensure interdepartmental development with no power of tax
adjustments.they were just to make departments connected to each other .they were to ensure
about competition of works and developments and insurance of the proper work of every
department.
• MUNCIPAL COMMITTEE
• muncipal committee was given the targets these was lighting and cleaning of streets,means
maintenance of streets on the daily basis,construction of roads and graveyards was also the
responsible of muncipal committee.
• PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND PARKS
• schools for the children where they could study to be beneficial for the state in future.
• parks for the people where they could get entertained.
8. DISTRICT COUNCIL
• Development projects of districts includes
maintenance of gardens ,parks,festivals
celebrations, libraries etc.
9. DIVISIONAL COUNCIL
• Its function is to regulate the co-ordination among
local councils.muncipal bodies and government
departments.they had less financial powers.
10. CRITICISMS
• Criticisms of his sons and family's personal wealth increasd,especially
his son's actions after his father's election in the allegedly rigged 1964
presidental elections against fatima jinnah is a subject of criticism by
many writers.
• Ayub began to lose both power and popularity.on one occasion,while
visiting east pakistan, there was a failed attempt to assassinate
him,though this was not reported in the press of the day
