Our team of Penny, Jeremy, Brian Rietvelt and I
will be traveling to the Philippines to teach Intentional
Community Evangelism principles and evangelizing in
the cities and villages on 2 Philippine islands in April.
Our ministry begins on Mindanao where we will work
with Jose Fernandez, President of the SBC Pastor’s
Conference for the Mindanao Convention. We will be equipping and encouraging 2500 pastors and
workers during their annual pastor’s conference and convention meeting. We will also hold
evangelistic meetings near Davao City.
From there, we will travel to Bacolod City on the island of Negros to work with Gaudencio
Embao whom we worked with in 2001. We will be speaking in churches, evangelizing in villages and
helping a church conduct a Vacation Bible School.
During our previous mission in 2001, we saw over 850 people trust Christ as Savior. We
anticipate another great harvest as we join God in His work.
In order to participate in this mission, we will need to raise a total of $9,900 dollars to cover
the cost of our airfare, lodging, meals, local transportation, conference contribution, insurance and
ministry support for the three of us. Brian will be raising his own expenses

month for the next 5 months? If 40 people would pledge $50 per month for 5 months leading up to
the mission, ($250 total) we could meet this goal well before we leave. Or maybe you could give a
one-time gift of $1000 or some other amount to help with the costs?
