8. 8. Do you
Know
What
Happens
When
We
Put
God
First
?
“Bring the whole tithe into the temple, that there may be food in my house, and try me in this, says the Lord of hosts: Shall I not open for you the floodgates of heaven, to pour down blessings upon you without measure?”
(Malachi 3:10)
Does it ever occur to us that when we put God first, one’s money is likely to last longer?
9. 9. HOW
MUCH
SHOULD
I
GIVE?
DDF
My parish
MY responsibility FORTHE MISSION OF THE CHURCH
10. 10.

Now we have 3388 registered families.
    11. 11. If every family contributes $100.00 a year to the DDF

    18. 18. Parish Member Testimonial
“I was afraid to give more, so I took a step in faith when I heard the DDF message.
I’ve never regretted it.
God has not let me down.
God has richly blessed our family spiritually and materially.
I'm teaching my children to give in a spirit of joy and gratitude.”
19. 19.

If you are already contributing to the DDF, you have surely experienced its benefits.
    20. 20. But perhaps you never have and you’d like to try it.
    21. 21. That’s a personal decision, and it should be thought about and prayed over.

Our Lord Jesus Christ guarantees us that no one is poor for giving gifts to our God,
Who is so rich in love, mercy and goodness.
22. 22. We encourage you to use the envelopes when you give your donations. Using the envelopes will be of great benefit for you and your family. Financial benefits such as lower fees for faith formation, sacramental preparation, and other benefits
And as many people would say
“Using the envelopes is like gift wrapping
your offer to God.”
23. 23.

Payment of your pledge of $100 or more is easy.
    24. 24. When you drop your offering envelope to the collection basket add the $2.00 or more and mark DDF on the envelope.
    25. 25. Your DDF donation will be credited to your envelope no. The Church will mail the payment to the Diocese.

    26. 26. On behalf of St. John The Evangelist we invite you to take time this week to fill out your pledge card for the DDF 2010. Thank You very much for your support and cooperationGod Bless you!
27. 27. General outline based on:

How Much Should I Give to My Parish? Liguori Publications
    28. 28. By author: Florence Wedge Price: $1.00

Description:
Explains what tithing is, discusses its biblical background, and quotes Christians who say that tithing actually helps them balance their budget.
29. 29. Thank you for giving us the opportunity
To share God’s grace at St. John.
“…No program accomplishes the church’s mission. No set of goals and objectives includes everything. This is what we are about.
We plant the seeds that one day will grow. We water seeds already planted…
We lay foundations that will need further development...
We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that.
This enables us to do something, and to do it very well. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way,
an opportunity for the Lord’s grace
to enter and do the rest…”
ST JOHN
THE EVANGELIST 3980 Opal St. RUBIDOUX, CA. 951-684-6864.
Fr.
