Summary
An experienced Accountant in all functions of an accounting office. I have strong experience in Sales and
Use Tax, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation's. I have a good understanding of GAAP and have
experience preparing Financial Statements. Have done GL account reconciliations to include Banks, Fixed
Assets, Inventory, & Sales Tax. My major strengths are Excel workbooks. I have created useful reports to
bring information to the workbook. I have quickly and accurately compared information from one report to
another to verify accuracy. I have experience in both Internet Stores and Brick and Mortar.
In my spare time a way from work I’ve been working on a Sales and Use tax project to create templates for
State reporting that can be used by anyone to easily comply with reporting obligations. This is a project I
hope one day will be a success.

Sales & Use Tax Analysts – CR England (6 months) Trucking Co Business of selling Truck Tires
Prepared and Filed Sales and Use Tax returns for most all the lower 48 States. Created Sales Tax
workbooks for reporting purposes by pulling together data from a tire sales data base. Customized reports
To best accommodate each State for their specific needs.

(7 years 3 months) RETAIL CLOTHING STORES
Balanced Banks (HQ Main Bank & Stores) Reports to company store sales. Created a daily
balancing report on Excel to ensure all sales and tenders were in balance and all tender types were settled
fully and properly with the Main Bank Account.
Balanced all store bank accounts and transferred funds daily to Main Bank as well as balanced bank
accounts for PR, AP & Bank Cards. Assisted to maintain inventory GL balance and accuracy of item count
and COGS. Prepared State Sales and Use tax returns for all Stores. Reconciled sales tax accrual accounts
to assure tax collected and paid were accurate. I also developed Sales Tax Returns on excel that pulled
data straight from the worksheet to the return. This was cost effective, time saving and helped avoid any
errors in preparation of returns. In addition, the daily balancing report I developed was a key process to
find and correct any POS errors that occurred right away so that at months end the closing of the period
books were ready without delay and financials were prepared timely for managements review.
