extension for Magento stores.

II. Dealer Locator
You have different physical stores and neither know how to direct your customers to
search these stores nor find out their most favorable one? If so, don’t need to look around any
longer because our Dealer Locator extension is the right solution for you. With this extension,
customers can locate the most convenient store as well as approach the store’s details like
address, contact information & its description. In particular, Dealer Locator can help promote
your stores by impressing customers with eye-catching images.
III. Configuration setting
After the installation is successfully conducted, you need to do initial setup for this new
extension. Login your Magento Admin Panel and go to System > Configuration > Magebuzz
Add-ons > Dealer Locator or directly go to Dealer Locator on the menu bar.
If you choose going to System > Configuration > Magebuzz Add-ons > Dealer
Locator, you will see only one group called General Options.

In the other case, there are two blocks for you to make configuration including:
- Manage Dealers
- Import Dealers

1. Manage Dealers
This feature allows you to create new dealers & edit the existing one.
1.1 Create a new dealer
Go to Dealer Locator on the menu Manage Dealers Add new dealer if you want
to create a new dealer for your store.

In this section, you can insert all information relevant to the dealer and what you need to
do now is to complete the blanks as following:

Title: This name will be shown in the frontend.
Email: Insert the email you want to connect with your customers.
Website: Fill your website if you own one.
Phone: This phone number helps your customers call you much easier.
Postal code: This code will be shown in the frontend.
Address: You should enter the exact address as it will be used to search for location on
Google Map.
Longitude/Latitude: You should leave the fields empty if you do not know exact values.
Dealer Icon: Inset an image for the dealer to display in Google Maps. If not, a default
icon will be available.
Store view: This function enables you to select a store view in which the dealer is
displayed. Our Dealer Locator extension supports multiple stores.
Status: Click on “Enable” if you want to make the uploaded information public and
“Disable” for the other case.
Note: You can add more descriptions for the dealer store in this field.
After filling all required information, remember to click on Save Dealer or Save and
Continue Edit button to save this dealer.
1.2 Edit an existing dealer
If you have already got all dealers in your site, you can show them on your dealer
locator page right away or click on “Edit” if you wish to make some changes.

2. Import Dealers
In case, you hesitate to make a dealer-by-dealer upload, you can rely on a CVS file. You
are required to make a CSV file which contains the details of all dealers. You have to make a
CSV file following our sample CSV file which you can find under media > dealers folder.
Just go to the Admin Panel and go to Dealer Locator > Import Dealers, upload the file
and complete the importing process.

In this section, you should pay attention to some following items:
• Google Geo API URL: As mentioned above, Dealer Locator is integrated with Google
Map so that the module can send requests to its API to define the longitude and latitude of your
store. We suggest you leave this blank empty for default.
• Google API Key: In case you desire to achieve more than 25 thousand requests per day,
you should ask API key from Google for your site.
• Allow customer to search dealer: Click “Yes” if you agree your customers to search
dealers in the page and “No” for the other case.
• Default Dealer Icon Image: The admin can upload image for dealers to display in
Google Maps. More detailed, you can upload a default icon for all dealers or one icon for each
dealer.
• Default Location Address: You can either leave the blank default or select a location
that you want Google Map to center on the dealer search page.
• Search Radius: Fill the blank with the chain of radii which can be searched by customers
and remember that these radii are separated by comma.
• Default search radius: In case you fill no digital in the Search Radius field or you
disable the searching by distance, a default radius is needed for Google API to search for dealers.
• Distance Unit: Select “Mile” if you are in UK at the moment and “Kilometer” for the
rest of the world.
• Show Top Link: This parameter allows you to display “Dealers” on the top link bar of
the search page.
• Show Email and Website: Also you can show the email address and website of dealers
on the search result page.
• Page Type: The dealer locator page can be switched between two layout including one
column or two columns with the map on the right.

4. Front-end
To make use of the extension, customers can first click on the Dealer Locator link at the
top. The map search page can be displayed in either one column with the presentation of all
stores under the Google Maps or in a vertical list and Google Maps on the right side.

As you can see, the dealer locator page is divided into three parts: Search Dealers, Google Map
& Store List.
Search Dealers: In this section, customers can search stores by postal code, street name,
city, state or country. More interestingly, Customers can search for stores within some
radius (in kilometer or mile unit) from their locations. In this way, they can quickly find
the nearest one from their locations. All possible search results will be shown both on
Google Map & in Store list then.

Google Map: The Dealer Locator is integrated with Google Maps to make the searching
of your stores easier and more accurate than ever. Whenever clicking the store on the
map, you will see its all relevant details such as postcode, address, store name & image,
etc.

Store list: All dealer stores of your site will be shown in the list under Google Map. Each
store is displayed with some information such as store name, address, phone, etc.
Especially, pagination is enabled which is really useful for Magento stores with too many
dealers.
