Child Protection and Permanency (CP&P), formerly known as the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS), is New Jersey's child protection agency within the Department of Children and Families. CP&P investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect and arranges for child protection and family treatment services. The Child Abuse Hotline receives reports 24/7 which are sent to local CP&P offices for investigation. CP&P contracts community agencies to provide services like counseling, parenting classes, substance abuse treatment, foster care and residential placement. If a child is at risk, CP&P may place the child in foster care and later pursue adoption if family reunification is not possible.

Crittenton of Southern California was born out of the opening of the Florence Crittenton Home in Los Angeles in 1892. The country saw a need for a social service program in the early 1960s, this need helped the creation of the Orange County program partnering with The National Association of Florence Crittenton Agencies. ?? (A need on the country's need for social service programs was establish in the early 1960s which helped in the creation of a Orange Country program partnering with The National Association of Florence Crittenton Agencies.) Florence Crittenton Services Orange County was incorporated in 1966 purchasing a home in Santa Ana, CA. The campus transformed from serving only teen mothers to include exploited boys and girls. In 1991 Fullerton Community Hospital was renovated and re-opened, housing adolescent girls and their children as it continues to do today. Currently, Crittenton Southern California serves Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego Counties.
Crittenton’s mission is carried through Crittenton’s Insight Program. Insight is a comprehensive, multi-faceted residential program for assessment, treatment, recovery of Commercial Sexually Exploited Girls. The program focuses on domestic and international teenage girls between ages 12-18. The girls may be runaways, forced into trafficking, or exploited by their “boyfriends”. Crittenton began providing shelter and services for trafficked teenagers and Commercial Sexual Exploited Children (CSEC). Staff are well trained and dedicated to helping young girls who experienced complex traumas; they assist girls to recover and restore them to their whole self.

BabyNet, South Carolina’s Early Intervention System
BabyNet is South Carolina's early intervention program for infants and toddlers under age 3 who have developmental delays or disabilities. It is a statewide system that provides family-centered services through interagency teams. Anyone can refer a child to BabyNet if developmental delays are suspected. Children receive services outlined in their Individualized Family Service Plans to help them meet developmental goals. Before transitioning out of BabyNet, plans are made to help children and families transition smoothly.
Launch plan
The document outlines a plan to launch a website called KidsintheMiddle.org.uk in 2014 to provide online support and resources for children experiencing parental separation. Around 250,000 children in the UK are affected by parental separation each year, which can be traumatic and damaging, especially without proper support. Previous online support services for these children have closed due to issues with sustainability. The new website aims to connect children with peer support and counseling resources through an existing online platform, while also providing information to help children and parents understand the experience and impacts of separation. Founding partners including family lawyers and mediators have pledged funding and support to help launch and promote the initiative.

Its mission is to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and to support families. CP&P is responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect and, if necessary, arranging for the child's protection and the family's treatment. The Child Abuse Hotline (State Central Registry) receives all reports of child abuse and neglect 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Reports requiring a field response are forwarded to the CP&P Local Office who investigates. Find contact information for CP&P Local Offices HERE. After normal business hours, the hotline is linked with a statewide network of Special Response Units charged with the responsibility of responding to reports. For more information about reporting child abuse click HERE. Each year, CP&P contracts with many community-based agencies throughout the state to provide services to children and families. Such services include counseling, parenting skills classes, substance abuse treatment, in-home services, foster care and residential placement. If a child has been harmed or is at risk of harm, CP&P may ask the county family court to place the child in foster care.
