You are a researcher working for the publisher of a blog about howto get into the broadcasting industries, andhave been tasked with
producinga section onjobs in the UKradioindustry.
You will produce a blogand report on:
 jobs inthe UK media industry
 workingpractices in the UK mediaindustry
 contractual issuesinthe UK media industry.
Tasks Grading Criteria Mapping
1. You must create a blog with information about 4 different job roles (2 in radio and 2 in
other media industries) within the UK media industry;
In this section you must describe;
 What do they do in the job?
 How do you get into the job? (Career routes)
 What essential knowledge and skills do you need?
 What training and qualifications do you need to get into the job? (University degrees,
college etc)
 What salary, conditions and working practices are involved in the job?
 What employment contracts they usually operate under
 Find a job advert as an example
2. You must also create a blog post about the regulatory bodies and legal and ethical issues
that you would have to be aware of when working in the radio industry. You must cover in
your report, OFCOM, PRS/MCPS and the ASA.
