An entrepreneur is defined as a person who sees potential in a product or service and takes on the risk of selling it, with the potential reward being success if people see value in it. Entrepreneurs in a community include those who process and sell fruits and vegetables, like running a meat shop or grocery store, regardless of the size of the business. To be successful, entrepreneurs must understand the relation between their product or service's potential economic contribution (PECs) and their chosen industry, like how fruits and vegetables processing contributes value and income opportunities for a community.
