2. Growing up…
Born 2nd May 1975. As a child, he regularly played
foot-ball. "At school whenever the teachers asked,
'What do you want to do when you're older?' I'd say, 'I
want to be a footballer.' And they'd say, 'No, what do
you really want to do, for a job?' But that was the only
thing I ever wanted to do.”

3. His parents
His parents were fanatical Manchester United
supporters who frequently traveled from
London to Old Trafford to attend the team's
home matches. David inherited his parents' love
of Manchester United…

4. Manchester Utd
His career began with Manchester United. He made his
first-team debut in 1992 aged 17. With United,
Beckham won the Premier League title six times, the FA
Cup twice and the UEFA Champions League in 1999.

He played four seasons with Real Madrid,
winning the La Liga championship in his final
season with the club. In July 2007, Beckham
signed a five-year contract with the Major
League Soccer club “Los Angeles Galaxy”. While
a Galaxy player, he spent two loan spells in Italy
with AC Milan in 2009 and 2010.

8. Achievements
Beckham has twice been runner-up for FIFA
World Player of the Year & in 2004 was the
world's highest-paid footballer. Beckham was the
first British footballer to play 100 Champions
League matches. In 2007 he was the highest paid
player salary in the league's history.

11. Accessories…
The Beckham’s earn vast sums of money through
sales of Boots, jackets, underwear, perfume etc.

12. Retirement
He retired from Football on Saturday 18th May 2013. In
his final match, he will wear special boots designed by
him. The boots have the colour’s of the Union Jack and
feature the names of his four children as well as the
numbers from his playing career: 7, 23 and 32.
