Essential Job Functions
Supervise the on-site managementof sub-contractorsandvendors,ensuringthatall workis
performedaccordingtoestablishedpracticesandprocedures.
Escalationandemergency response tocircuitandcustomerequipmenttroublesona24/7 on-
call basis.
Take a leadershiprole inmentoringandperformingtoTWCbestpractices.
Maintaincompanyspecificationsandcompanyoperatingprocedureslibraries.
Write procedures,create systemMOPsforworkactivitiesandstore indepartmental SharePoint
portal.
Ensure MOPs are utilizedonall ticketactivities.
Ensure that facilityproblemsare identifiedandrepairedquicklyandmake sure all customer
demandsare beingmet.
Followuptoensure ticketingisproperlyclosedoutandina timelyfashion.
Supportthe Data CenterManagerby insuringdirectivesandprocessesare strictlyadheredto
and standin forthe Data CenterManagerduringtimeswhenthe managerisunavailable,on
vacationor attendingtootherprojectduties.
Supervise the performance of personnelperformingbothroutine andemergencyservice.
Train newAssociates andinsure thatastandard of excellence ismaintainedforall activities
listedbelow;
o Install,test,andterminate cables,includingCat6,Coax,andFibermedia.
o Install circuitcross-connectjumpers,andtestcarriercircuitsto customeror telecom
carrier.
o Provide promptresponse tocustomertrouble ticketsrequestingequipmentattention
such as;
Rebootof serversandotherdevices
Loadingand unloadingof Tape Libraries
Testingof networkcircuitsincludingfiberandCAT6.
o Run cable frompatch panel toserverand or to switch,andreplace SFPmodules.
o Replace hardware,includingmemory,motherboards,NICs,batteries,disks,backplanes
and fibercards,powersupplies,andfans.
2. o OS level administrationandtroubleshootingincludingFSCK,Recover,bluescreen,last
knowngoodand bootfrom disc.
o AssistwithBIOSlevel configurations,ASR,DSR,BootOrder,RunDiagnosticsand
Firmware Upgrades,OSconfiguration,addIPs,checkroute tablesandGW.
o Burn DVDsfor (ISOimages,HP/Dell SmartStart,BIOSUpgrades)
o ConnectUSB drives;configure drive lettersandcopyor backupdata.
o Install andconfigure dedicatedHosting Blade Servers.
o Close outtrouble ticketsandcustomerchange requestsatcompletionof activities.
o Performoccasional customerinventoriesof equipmentcomponents,x-connects,spare
parts,etc.
Supervise the performance of personnelresponsible forassettrackingandmanagement
includingthe following:
o Receive,trackandstore customerpackagesand equipmentinSecure Storage
environmentorcustomerspace.
o Mark anyreceiveddeviceswithassettagsandenterinformationintoinventory.
o Update centralizeddatabase fornew orexistingequipment
o Provide promptresponse tocustomertrouble tickets,requestingequipmentattention
such as shippingand/orreceivingof new orretiredequipment.
o Assistassociateswithshippingandreceivingissuesandfollow upasrequired.
