Dodgeball is a game that can be played by anyone who is physically fit, with the objective of tagging opponents out by throwing balls at them or catching thrown balls. It involves two teams of 6-8 players on a volleyball-sized court using soft fabricated balls. The game builds character, improves physical fitness through cardiovascular exercise and strength training, and fosters social bonding and awareness.

2. INTRODUCTION A simple game that is packed with loads of fun and character-building opportunities. Typically played during P.E lessons all over the world. Most notably in the USA, UK, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore! Objective of the game is to ‘tag’ opponents out of the game by throwing a ball at them or catching a thrown ball by the opponents, all these while trying to avoid being ‘tagged’ yourself. This game can be played by anyone as long as they are physically fit.

3. RULES Players split into 2 teams of 6-8. A player is considered ‘tagged’ if a thrown ball hits any part of the body first. Hitting an object or deflected off the ball prior to hitting the body will be considered an invalid hit and play goes on. Catching a thrown ball will deem the thrower ‘out’ and the catcher brings a teammate back into the game. Stepping on or outside of the boundaries will be considered ‘out’ as well. Taunts, jeers and headshots are discouraged. Teams will be disqualified if they fail to abide by the rules, especially if ample warnings has been given by the referee.

4. EQUIPMENTS & PLAYING AREA Soft fabricated balls Volleyball-sized court Hard court, Grass or Sand. Indoor or Outdoor. This game can be played anywhere as long as the environment permits.

5. BENEFITS Dodgeball can give you a good overall workout. Avoiding the ball gives you a good cardio exercise and you can improve your leg and arm strength through jumping and throwing the ball. Trying to avoid the ball or catch the ball can also improve your hand-eye coordination. Character building and social awareness. Great bonding sessions.
