soon mirrored by others

12. Both wondering about that tale
that makes up the maskerale

14. A glimpse,
A question

15. Eagerly answered

16. By all the clowns

17. 'Look' they say.
'One has to dress up'

18. 'And make fun of it'

19. 'Because, as all know,
We are but small apes'

21. Then there was Bob,
the gimp

22. Who shouted:
'No, this is not the way'

23. 'You lead the child astray'

24. And the clowns consented,
as they knew,
the picture,
Bob drew

Bob said

27. 'There is what is'

28. 'And there are the explanations afterwards'

30. 'So until the grave,'

Deny it to yourself, if you must.'
