Darryl, the event of supermarket and the police is about the event that occurred in a Los
Angeles that made the global news because Los Angeles was flooded as well as the media from
around the realm reported on the horrific events during the times, weeks, months and evens
the years that had followed. Considering the transparency as well as the explore of the systems
which were ill-prepared for events along with the negative police society associations, united into
a quite accurately leaving people in Los Angeles and world community stunned by what they
seen and heard. There were clearly numerous unexpected turns as well as happenings that were
experienced by the first respondent Darryl during supermarkets event. One of the major events
that occurred is when the army troop shot dead and murdered a motorist at outside supermarket
and ran away. The paper will seek to summarize the event on the supermarket and the police.
Chief Darryl had left police headquarters for around one hour in order to attend a political
fundraising occasion, after guest required about beating as well as the violence which had just

likelihood of more distress in the town. This did so because they were not convinced weather
rioting was over. After few days workers went again to their initial daily duties although the state
was clogged with smoke because of gunshots of tear gas. The police were then beating people for
no good reason looting everything inside the supermarkets as much as they could. As a result of
the riot, the place was badly destroyed. Whereby the Darryl disused with his executives the plans

of rebuilding the supermarkets and the place. They organized for relief efforts requesting for food
donations as well as shoppers (Baldassare 150).
Many of deaths and injuries were because of worst riots that occurred. Properties worth a
million of dollars were also destroyed. In addition, many people were arrested showing the
changing pattern of police response.at first people were not being arrested because of lack of
police presence. Business people of the supermarkets survey for the damages and tried to reopen
again.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it is clear that Darryl, the event of the supermarket and the
police should aim at sympathizing with people who suffered violence outside the supermarket.
People were demonstrating and rioting leading to police brutality thus, loss of lives of people as
well as properties. This resulted in tensions between the people outside the supermarket and the
police. Since people were looting shops and taking away foods. Therefore, the event on the
supermarket and the police is a book that portrays what is happening in the society and people
should make use of it in order to change and transform our societies.
