How Successful Crowdsourcing Depends on asking 'Interesting Questions'Crowdsourcing Week
Writing Interesting Questions is as much art as as science. Here are some 100%Open has written recently. How can we double the fun of the LEGO play experience? How can I wash my home, myself, or my clothes with a single cup of water? (Unilever) How can we enable all Detroiters to travel more easily, safely and reliably? (Ford) How can we empower investors and their advisers to consider the CO2 impact of their investment decisions? (UBS) How can we help people do good by using their mobile phone in 3 minutes or less? (EE) Our Interesting Question methodology (https://www.100open.com/toolkit_2/interesting-question/) ensure that questions are accessible, contagious and as inspiring to the Challenge Holder organisation as they are to the Innovator target group.
Contestant Centered Design: creative approaches to designing competitionsCrowdsourcing Week
Creativity is critical to solving complex problems, developing new strategies, facilitating innovation, and driving organizational change. NIST’s Public Safety Communications Research Division’s open innovation efforts focuses on advancing wireless communications for America’s first responders by leveraging expertise and innovative solutions through crowdsourcing and collaboration. Success relies on creating competitions that achieve NIST’s organizational goals, incentivize world class science, remove barriers to entry, and maximize participation. Not an easy equation to balance. This session will discuss how design tradeoffs are considered for a variety of competition elements as concepts develop into a competition and as competitions are implemented. The goal of this interactive session is to provide a behind-the-scenes view of our process, engage audience ideas, and dive into a discussion about crowdsourcing and contestant-centered design.
Ethan will talk about the opportunity to reward crowdsourcing participants through crypto assets/tokens that allows the possibility of performing many micro transactions, saving costs for both the business and the users. In addition, the topic of transparency coming from the blockchain sector where business are now becoming more open to have the public help with tough R&D questions that in the past would have been kept internal. The blockchain industry is in fact growing communities as their branding strategy from the start, and rely on transparency for their community to trust them. All in all, we are seeing the tools in the making to ignite crowdsourcing’s future potential within decentralized business models. Lastly, we will dive into current use case studies from crowdholding.com, on creating a crowd rewarding mechanism for both crowd intelligence and crowd marketing.

Only when the last tree has been cut, the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught, we will realise that we cannot eat money! We are destroying our planet for profit and nobody is really doing anything about it on a big scale, neither polititians nor other people with influence or power, but why? This really annoys me! But why is that like this?
Basics
We have to change the rules for profit making to distribute power and therefore democratise the money creation since the economic value chain starts with the creation of money! Let's have a closer look:
- Game 1: Geldscheine verteilen und Zins mit zentralem Nullsummenspiel erklären (need of growth, F6-E2)
- Game 2: Kreidetafel (555 Büchlein) erklären = dezentrales Debitor/Creditor System (no zero-sum-game)
Solution old world (traders known)
- Digitalising booklets (accounts), zwei Seiten, Kunde vs. Ich, Datum, Produkt, Preis (unterschiedlich)
- Mark price on buyers side and promise to deliver another value later to him (one-to-one) mutual credits
Solution new world (traders unknown)
- Put marks on your side yourself for financing (self-issued-credit) to promise to deliver to all (transparency)
- Not one-to-one but one-to-many
- All info in social smart contract (Zick-Zack: elastic money mass)
Private federations (communities – crowd economies) are the future and will replace states in many ways...
Hi everybody, I'm Daniel from KOINA...(explaining CI)
A: Since we are in FinTech crowd here I guess you are familiar with netting. Can you imagine an economy in
which all market participants use netting, not just banks?
B: Who in this room thinks something is wrong with our monetary system no matter which currency?
Who in this room thinks something nothing is wrong with our monetary system no matter which currency?
Who in this room thinks banks, regulators or politicians will do something about it?
Who in this room thinks that we, the people, will have to fix it?
C: Explaining Fei Lun, the flying weel:
- transparent black board, no money, one2one, no agreement both arrested, 1000s of year = empire
Our vision at KOINA is a monetary system, which enables producers to self-issue credit based on their future production. Therefore, we are building the 1st decentralized, common-based monetary system that will enable a sustainable economy to thrive:
Only production credits
No financial credits
No consumer credits
Money as we know it is nothing than credit, and credit is liquidity within a certain timeframe. Basically, the bank trusts the borrower to pay back the credit issued to him. This is a bilateral contract between two parties. Money is Trust + Contract, as explained before.
KOINA is different because it is a contract between the producer and all members of a the economy. Or in other words not from one2one but from one2all. This is a so called social contract or unilateral contract in which a producer promises to deliver goods and services to the market that allows him to self-issue credit.
One of the biggest challenges was to developed a legal framework to make all of this possible. For example, a decentralized monetary system cannot be owned by a central authority. Our solution is a unique international partnership based model composed with ICC law to be independent from country laws. So, we build the system first and then transfer it to a custodian holding this asset in trust for the community. Then others can join in easily. By investing in this federation, investors profit through a revenue share from all market makers not only from one company. Our KOINA companies manage the system for the community and here are our business models: ...
We call this contract KOINA contract. By the way, KOINA is the Greek word for „common“. The KOINA contract is a smart contract which means it´s human readable and machine readable at the same time. Every KOINA participant needs to sign it with his private key to enter the network.
Here’s an example of how it works: A Swedish Baker promises to deliver 1.000 smörrebröd to the KOINA Market until the end of this month.
That’s just a frontend simulation. So, he enters his data ... and by pressing the button he creates KOINA instantly. Since he has a good public rating which we call KIX, KOINA Index, he is rewarded with better credit conditions.
In his books this additional liquidity appears in the Cash T-account as positive money not as debt which is a plus in equity on the other side.
Now if his product is bought, he gets back KOINA which were spent in circulation = delivery promise partially fulfiled! When the complete promise is fulfiled the contract is fulfiled and then the credited KOINA deleted (elastic money mass).
But businesses issuing KOINA can alternativley confirm the reciept of the smörrebröd which means delivery promise fulfiled. So that is where businesses can use netting amongst eachother. If ih the future also consumers are able to enter the system we can all start netting amoungst all network participants.
Producers issuing KOINA act more or less like banks. This is a modern, efficient and fast currency system. Consumers are not able to self-issue credit in the beginning but can of course earn KOINA. Nevertheless, we are planning to integrate consumers, states and others in the future. My personal goal is establish KOINA as one of the most used currencies worldwide within a decade...
Both cases initiate the balance sheet contraction on the account of the producer. This explains why KOINA's money mass is elastic and not limited!
Frankly speaking, the potential of KOINA is enormous and we are pretty sure that we can do very well ;-) In the DACH region, one of the richest regions in the world, more than one third of the SMEs have no more access to credit. More than 500 Bn. € per year are lacking and no instituition has been able to fix that problem. Internationally the figures are even much higher. Anyway, of course all others are invited to use this system for their benefits, too.

Here is our core team: kurz erläutern ... And we get a lot of support from experts like the university professors, bankers or businesses etc.
Since more than three years we are now working on the project. We have done a lot of research to built the market first and find out what the biggest needs are before we designed the currency and the system around it. Last year we founded the KOINA Corp. In Switzerland because of regulator issues. At present we are setting up the legal framework to be able to invite everybody to become a partner in Q2/15. We solved the occuring technological and legal questions. One Swiss Kanton, several Business Associations and even Catalunia is interested in testing KOINA. In order to put all the pieces together and to get it on the ground we are looking for 2,5 Mio. CHF.
The key benefits of the system are:
To sum up the revolutionary aspects about KOINA: it is truly game-changing, it’s a sustainable currency system and a unique networked business for the global crowd-economy. Everyone can profit from it! Come on, join us! Thank you very much ;-)
