The hope of the suffering saint. "Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." II. Secondly, the reward of the working saint. "They that are wise shall shine," III. The rest of the waiting saint. "Go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days."

previous topic. Thus the discussion about the end
of times would not fit in regard to the world but the
end of days as the last days of Israel being the
vessel in which the Messiah would arise.

lasted three and a half years.
• Understanding Jewish numerology one would be
quick to point out that this number (also
indicated by 1260 days) simply represents a
time of unrest or trouble for the people of God.

9. hearing but not understanding

heard and did not understand but wrote it
down so we may have faith in times of
trouble (1 Pet. 1:10; Eph. 3:5).

the argument that God is going to purify
and preserve His people, and has set a
limit of days to the time of trouble.
