He is Risen
Happy Easter
What consumes most of your thoughts
these days?
Is it something related to money?
Is it something related to time?
Is it something related to people?
Is it something that troubles you?
Our desires become our temples of
worship. So what’s in your temple?
Jesus is our resurrected Temple and
he is inviting people everywhere to
come to him and worship.
John 2
13 The Passover of the Jews was
near, and Jesus went up to
Jerusalem.
14 And He found in the temple
those who were selling oxen and
sheep and doves, and the money
changers seated at their tables.
John 2
15 And He made a scourge of cords, and
drove them all out of the temple, with the
sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the
coins of the money changers and
overturned their tables; [16] and to those
who were selling the doves He said, “Take
these things away; stop making My
Father’s house a place of business.”
17 His disciples remembered that it was
written, “ZEAL FOR YOUR HOUSE WILL
CONSUME ME.”
John 2
18 The Jews then said to Him, “What sign
do You show us as your authority for doing
these things?”
19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this
temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
20 The Jews then said, “It took forty-six
years to build this temple, and will You
raise it up in three days?”
21 But He was speaking of the temple of
His body.
John 2
22 So when He was raised from the
dead, His disciples remembered that
He said this; and they believed the
Scripture and the word which Jesus
had spoken.

John 2
22 So when He was raised from the
dead, His disciples remembered that
He said this; and they believed the
Scripture and the word which Jesus
had spoken.
And Stephen, full of grace and power,
was performing great wonders and
signs among the people. . .They put
forward false witnesses who said,
“This man incessantly speaks against
this holy place and the Law; for we
have heard him say that this Nazarene,
Jesus, will destroy this place and alter
the customs which Moses handed
down to us.” Acts 6:8, 13–14
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith
is futile; you are still in your sins. Then
those also who have died in Christ are lost.
If only for this life we have hope in Christ,
we are to be pitied more than all men.
But Christ has indeed been raised from the
dead, the firstfruits of those who have
died. For since death came through a man,
the resurrection of the dead comes also
through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in
Christ all will be made alive. But each in his
own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when
he comes, those who belong to him.
1 Corinthians 15:17–23

he is inviting people everywhere to
