For decades, Banking has innovated for the masses, but left the needs of the homeless behind
This charity concept explores the potential for incentives and rewards to transform the lives of the homeless, guiding them in tackling the long-term issues that prevent them from successfully reintegrating into society once housing is found, and helping them rediscover their life long aspirations along the way.

Crowdfunding and Audience Development - We are Museums RigaOonagh Murphy
There are hundreds of examples of successful crowdfunding campaigns in the arts. There’s the quirky Park and Slide, which transformed Park Street in Bristol into a giant public water slide. There’s the cutting-edge Virtual Choir, which digitally brought together solo singers from all over the world. Then there’s the heartwarming Cancer sucks, Art Heals! project, which creates memorable experiences through art for children touched by cancer. But to date the focus in many how-to guides, articles and analysis is on developing a financially successful campaign.
More than simply an innovative approach to income generation, crowdfunding provides arts organisations with opportunities to develop new audiences, test new ways of working and generate advocacy and PR opportunities.
In this workshop we will look beyond the money and explore how Crowdfunding can help your museum develop new audiences and spark new ways of working.

One cannot just plug in his vehicle into the normal 115V outlet. The grid was not built to handle the strain of thousands of drivers all plugging in their cars at 6 pm, already a peak hour. A neighborhood transformer can easily be blown causing a ‘brown-out’. The utility must be able to remotely control charging if needed. In many regions, like California, it is now against code to charge a vehicle through a wall outlet. Utilities, like PG&E are extremely worried about this and are actively implementing new electrical codes and a separate rate classes for EV charging. New codes now require special hardware for charging modules like sub-meters, transformers, Internet connectivity, and plugs for the EV. There is an international consensus to standardize a charging receptacle for vehicles as well as a standard for the communication protocol. It is 220V 40 amp plug called SAE J1772 made by Yazaki. The 220V service can fully charge a vehicle in 2-4 hours versus 8-10 hours from a normal outlet. The communication protocol, J2847, will be utilized to manage smart charging in an energy management system EMS (Figure 1 & 2). Eventually the grid will develop V2G capability allowing vehicles to return energy to the grid. Because of all of these requirements, any plug-in vehicle will require a charging station pedestal device installed at the owners’ home. This charging pedestal is referred to by utilities as EVSE (Electric Vehicle Service Equipment). Utilities are looking to buy EVSE technology in mass quantities to distribute or resell to homeowners who are looking to purchase an EV or plug in. Automakers like Nissan are looking to coordinate availability and distribution of EVSE for their upcoming plug-in vehicles. If every household in the US eventually buys or leases an electric car, there will be a demand of 100 million or so of these EVSE devices for US homes alone. (See Appendix: NYT, Business Week)
Good afternoon, my name is Jasmine Stine and I am a co-founder of a business called Bamyan Media. We create reality TV competitions for social entrepreneurs in developing countries. Our story begins in 2008 in Afghanistan.
We turn this model upside down by asking how we can we efficiently inspire, educate and motivate everyday people with ideas and passion to make their dreams come true for a radically better world? Can we spark a cultural movement in which people create jobs for themselves and others by using small business to tackle big problems?(bigger font)
