Morrison

Investment

in

poten>al
investments

service
companies,
emerging
technologies
in
the
energy
industry,
and
E&P
companies.
In
addi>on,
he
compiles
and
produces
market
trends,
and
investment
risk
analysis
reports
for
a
wide
assortment
of
topics
including
mergers,
acquisi>ons,
and
porBolio
divestments.
The
majority
of
this
work
is
done
through
the
solely
owned
and
managed
DMI
group.
Mr.
Morrison
is
a
principal
owner,
investor,
or
financial/technical
partner
with
several
E&P
Companies
and
Energy
Service
Companies
both
in
the
US
and
Interna>onal.
Mr.
Morrison
serves
as
an
advisor
to
several
company
boards
as
a
research
consultant
on
drilling
fluids,
produc>on
chemicals,
fracturing
technologies,
and
associated
water
technology
projects.
He
advises
on
R&D
programs,
iden>fies
poten>al
research
focus
areas
for
various
companies,
works
with
clients
to
develop
new
products
and
outline
tes>ng
methods
for
unconven>onal
technologies.
Mr.
Morrison
helps
develop
marke>ng
strategies
for
new
technologies
for
the
same
clients.
He
serves
as
an
industry
expert
witness
and
strategy
consultant
for
opera>onal
issues
(land
and
marine)
and
intellectual
property
disputes.
Mr.
Morrison
graduated
from
the
University
of
Texas
in
1995
and
worked
for
Halliburton
Energy
Services
from
1995
to
2007.
He
exited
Halliburton
in
2007
as
the
US
Sales
Manager
over
rig
less
comple>ons,
pin
point
s>mula>on,
coiled
tubing,
snubbing,
jack-­‐up
boats
(GOM),
slick-­‐line
(US
Land,
GOM
shelf,
GOM
Deepwater)
and
he
served
simultaneously
as
the
Global
Point
contact
for
Shell
for
fracturing
and
acidizing,
pin
point
s>mula>on,
subsea
well
interven>on,
well
control,
snubbing,
slick
line
opera>ons,
rig
less
marine
comple>ons,
sub
sea
tes>ng,
and
TCP
opera>ons.
Prior
key
assignments
included
Conformance
Champion,
Western
US
Manager
for
pin
point
s>mula>on
and
well
interven>on,
Integrated
Solu>ons
(Halliburton
managed
oil
and
gas
assets
on
land
and
US
GOM),
in
house
consultant
for
Petsec
Energy
and
Ocean
Energy.
Mr.
Morrison
has
published
numerous
SPE
papers
and
trade
ar>cles
on
mature,
brown
field,
and
unconven>onal
technologies
and
projects.
He
has
been
issued
or
assigned
his
interests
in
several
key
patents
in
the
energy
services
technical
space.
From
2008
to
2014
Mr.
Morrison
has
ve_ed
over
400
investment
opportuni>es
and
specific
technical
projects
for
a
wide
variety
of
investment
and
consul>ng
groups
including
but
not
limited
to
Mckenzie,
Goldman
Sachs,
Bain
Capital,
Tennebaum
Capital,
Coleman
Research
Group,
and
GLG
Group.
In
2013
alone
he
worked
for
over
50
different
hedge
funds,
private
equity,
investment
funds,
service
companies,
E&P
companies
and
expert
consul>ng
firms.
Mr.
Morrison
works
directly
with
major
energy
service
analysts
in
analyzing
and
developing
markets
trend
reports
in
all
the
major
geo-­‐
markets
both
domes>cally
and
interna>onally.
He
holds
quarterly
seminars
for
the
industry
analysts
where
he
has
provided
guidance
on
emerging
trends,
technology
needs,
changing
business
models,
and
related
assessments
on
the
key
energy
service
technology
leaders
and
explora>on
produc>on
companies.
