Salvador Dali was a Spanish-Catalan surrealist artist born in 1904 and died in 1989 who is known for works like The Persistence of Memory. He lived in the coastal town of Port Lligat in Spain where he had a home and there is now a Dali museum dedicated to his work in the nearby city of Figueres.
