2. Entry Door Sub-sill (with minimal thermal bridging)

3. • 4” Cascadia clip, with 2x8 ledger, 12” to 16” o.c.
• Mount Cascadia clip 2” below top of concrete curb.
• Top of ledger aligned with top of sill plate

4. • 4” GPS Foam, notched around Cascadia Clips

5. • Box-out door R.O. with ½” plywood jambs, ¾” plywood sill, 1’-3” depth
• Gravel fill to 1’-8” below top of concrete slab elevation

6. • (2x) 4” layers GPS foam on compacted gravel fill
• Poly vapour retarder, caulk to concrete foundation wall
• Tape poly laps and penetrations

7. • (2x) 4” GPS foam (total 16”)
• 7” GPS foam at slab edge
• 1x12 Bevel siding as sloped sub sill
• Vapour-open peel and stick on plywood box
• Blueskin over sloped sub sill

8. • 4” Concrete slab (reinforced w welded wire mesh)
• Top of concrete slab flush to plywood sill and top of slab-edge foam

9. • Passive House Entry Door (Shown: Cal Door by Vetta Windows) – place door above GPS insulation
• 2x4 service wall (non structural) with bottom plate glued to slab edge
• 1x12 Bevel siding as sloped sub sill

10. • 2lb spray foam (low GWP blowing agent) against concrete foundation wall
• Knauf EcoBatt FG insulation in the wall cavity
• 1.5” mineral wool and blocking on the outside of the door frame

11. • Heavy gauge metal door sill, concrete pavers on pedestals
• Painted wood exterior door trim
• Finish flooring. Drywall with vapour retarding paint
