This document discusses the importance of human scale in architecture. It explains that architects must consider human proportions and dimensions when designing buildings so that structures are comfortable and usable for people. The document provides examples of modular systems created by architects like Le Corbusier to incorporate human scale. It also references literature on the topic of proportion in architecture. The overall message is that architects need to design with the human body and experience in mind to create successful buildings.
Ring or circular rafts can be used for cylindrical structures such as chimneys, silos, storage tanks, TV-towers and other structures. In this case, ring or circular raft is the best suitable foundation to the natural geometry of such structures. The design of circular rafts is quite similar to that of other rafts.
The document discusses mission critical systems and the need for mission assurance and survivability against sophisticated cyber attacks. It proposes a deception-based secure proactive recovery framework with three main components: 1) surreptitiously detecting intrusions without alerting attackers; 2) making detection information inaccessible to attackers using redundant design for test circuitry; and 3) using deception in recovery to increase mission survival chances. An initial centralized system was developed and evaluated, showing promising results. Future work aims to enhance the solution for decentralized environments while maintaining tamper-resistance and mission survivability.
The document discusses modeling and failure modes of reinforced concrete beams. It covers the following key points:
- Mathematical modeling of reinforced concrete is essential for civil engineering. The three failure modes to investigate are tension, compression, and shear.
- The Whitney rectangular stress distribution model approximates the complex compressive stress distribution with a rectangle. It defines the height of the stress box and calculates the tension and compression forces.
- Models are presented for tension failure based on steel yield strength, compression failure based on the reinforcement ratio, and shear failure based on the concrete and steel contributions.
- An example is given to analyze a reinforced concrete beam and calculate its moment capacity using the Whitney model, given properties of the concrete
The document discusses various acoustical considerations for auditorium design including:
1. Ideal reverberation times for different room types like lecture halls, concert halls, and opera houses.
2. Factors that affect a room's acoustical characteristics like liveness, warmth, texture, and intimacy.
3. Common acoustical design problems to avoid like focusing of sound, echoes, standing waves, and resonances.
4. Recommendations for room dimensions, ceiling design, floor plan and slope, wall treatments, and rear wall design based on the room's intended use.
The document discusses reinforcement in two-way slabs and footing design. It describes two types of shear failure in slabs: one-way shear and two-way shear. One-way shear results in inclined cracking and pull-out of negative reinforcement from the slab. Two-way shear can result in either inclined cracking or the slab sliding down the column. The critical perimeter for two-way shear is located at d/2 from the column face, where d is the effective depth of the slab. Formulas are provided to calculate the nominal shear resistance Vn of slabs under two-way shear with negligible moment transfer.

The document discusses various topics related to reinforced concrete design including:
1. Cover requirements for reinforcement in concrete depending on exposure ranging from 75mm for footings to 20mm for interior members.
2. Different types of beams including simply supported, cantilever, and continuous beams.
3. Requirements for reinforcement development including minimum embedment lengths, standard hook sizes, and anchorage.
4. Descriptions of reinforced concrete elements like columns, footings, and one-way slabs along with their minimum thickness requirements.
This document section discusses two-way slabs, which are slabs that span in two orthogonal directions. It covers the analysis and design of two-way slabs using the equivalent frame method. Key points include:
1) Two-way slabs can be flat plates, flat slabs, or slabs with beams. The equivalent frame method models the slab system as a series of frames.
2) Moments from frame analysis are distributed to column strips and middle strips. Design moments are calculated per unit width.
3) Tendon layouts are similar to continuous beams, with minimum spacing and reinforcement also specified. Analysis considers features like equivalent columns.
The document discusses different types of music recording studios. It describes the typical layout which includes a live room where sound is created, a control room to record and manipulate sound, and a vocal booth for voice recordings. Studios are carefully designed with soundproofing to isolate sound. The history of recording studios dates back to Thomas Edison's invention of the phonograph. Examples of modern studios include the atrium-style Coke Studio Pakistan, the brick-walled Nescafe Basement studio, and Hans Zimmer's Gothic-themed private music lair.

The author's journey to Islam began as a young child attending a Catholic school in England where she started questioning aspects of Christianity like praying to saints and Mary. Over many years of seeking answers from various Christian authorities and reading, she remained unsatisfied. After moving to Dubai for work, she serendipitously found a booklet called "What is Islam?" which helped answer her questions. She embraced Islam after attending Islamic classes. She later married Shaykh Ahmad Darwish, the author of the booklet, and helped translate Islamic texts to support new Muslims in English.

Koran and Hadith ﷺ SOSs (System Of Systems)
Koran & Hadith SOSs
Case Study, Simple yet Powerful
Alhamdulillah, Ahmad Darwish is the global master of SOS (System Of Systems) in Encyclopedic Knowledge of Islamic Information Technology Architectural Design, above all governments and fortune 500 global companies’ level. Retired from fortuned 500 consultancy and focused on Koran and 1850 references of Hadith … See what Allah blessed him to accomplish serving our Prophet ﷺ
This document contains prayers and supplications asking Allah to bless the Prophet Muhammad. It begins with the Basmala and several verses from the Quran. It then lists 99 names of Allah and provides supplications using each name. The document continues by listing prophets' names and providing additional supplications asking Allah to bless the Prophet Muhammad. It concludes with 27 names and attributes of the Prophet Muhammad and supplications using each.
The document contains a du'a for reading religious books or Islamic lessons. It begins with "Yā Allah! Open the portal of knowledge and wisdom for us, and have mercy on us! O the One Who is the Most Honourable and Glorious!" It notes that one should recite Salat-‘Alan-Nabi before and after the du'a. The document provides the transliteration of the du'a and its translation. It ends by noting that it was taken from Al-Mustaṭraf, Volume 1, pages 40.
The document provides an overview of Tawheed (the oneness of God) and its various types according to Islamic theology. It discusses the three main types of Tawheed: Tawheed ar-Rububiya (the oneness of God's lordship), Tawheed al-Uluhiya (the oneness of God's worship), and Tawheed al-Asma was-Sifat (the oneness of God's names and attributes). It defines each type, provides evidence from the Quran, and notes their importance. The document emphasizes that true belief requires affirming all three types of Tawheed and that without fulfilling Tawheed al-Uluhiya in particular,
The document discusses a hadeeth from Prophet Muhammad that describes seven types of people who will be shaded by Allah on Judgment Day when there will be no shade except His. The hadeeth mentions people such as a just ruler, a young worshipper, someone attached to the mosque, two people who love each other for the sake of Allah, someone who refuses a woman's advances by citing fear of Allah, a charitable person who gives secretly, and someone who remembers Allah when alone. The learner is instructed to carefully examine this hadeeth, explain its meaning, and investigate the characteristics of those who will receive Allah's shade.
how to begin your dua to make it more powerful.abd5050
The document provides examples of introductions to make dua (supplication) more powerful. The introductions praise Allah using his names and attributes. Example introductions praise Allah as the Most Merciful, Most Compassionate, Creator of the heavens and earth, Controller of all things, and Sustainer and Provider. The introductions call on Allah's greatest name and ask for his help.
These are simple words, which contain a clarification of how we worship Allāh in matters related to Aslud-dīn , which a person’s Islām cannot be correct without. I wrote it as a shortened and summarized version, so that it would be a support to the Muwahhidūn (Islāmic monotheists), a jewel for close friends (of Allāh) and the believers, and an equipment for them in the call towards this religion.
The document discusses key Islamic concepts - Islam, Iman, and Ihsan. It provides hadith narrated by Abu Huraira where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is asked to define each term. For Islam, the Prophet defines it as not associating anything with Allah, establishing prayer, paying zakat, and fasting Ramadan. For Iman, he defines it as affirming faith in Allah, His angels, His books, meeting with Him, His prophets, belief in resurrection, and belief in Divine Decree. For Ihsan, he defines it as fearing Allah as if you see Him, though you do not see Him, He sees you. The
Al-Mugheerah ibn Shu'bah asked the Prophet Muhammad more questions about the Dajjal than anyone else. When Al-Mugheerah expressed concern about the Dajjal's reported ability to produce food and water, the Prophet replied that the Dajjal is too insignificant in Allah's sight to have such abilities. The hadiths discuss that Allah will test believers with the Dajjal's miracles, but true believers will remain steadfast in their faith. The Quran does not mention the Dajjal by name because as a liar and deceiver, he is too contemptible, but warns of signs of the end times like the Dajjal through
Why The Wahabia Pseudo Salafis Are Not Ahlus SunnahYousef al-Khattab
This document contains a refutation of the beliefs and interpretations of the Wahhabi creed. It begins by establishing that following the beliefs and interpretations of Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamaah is an obligation, and that the Wahhabis attempt to discredit the mainstream Muslim tradition. It then discusses the validity of Islamic legal schools of jurisprudence and provides names that have been attributed to the Wahhabis. The document proceeds to refute specific Wahhabi beliefs that attribute a body to Allah and reject logic and scholarly reasoning. It provides textual proofs from the Quran and hadiths that contradict the Wahhabi interpretations. It also cites scholarly texts and consensus that validate the beliefs of Ahlu Sunnah
The document is a message from martyred Imam 'Abdullah 'Azzam to youth, urging them to spend time in acts of worship early in life. It references hadiths encouraging taqwa of Allah and obedience to Him and His messenger. It provides background on the author Ibn al-Qayyim, noting his pious worship and influential books on Islamic education and theology. The introduction stresses following the Quran and hadith over innovations.
The document discusses a message from martyred Imam 'Abdullah 'Azzam to youth, urging them to give some of their time to Allah while young. It then summarizes works by Ibn al-Qayyim, describing him as a fruit of Ibn Taymiyyah who distinguished himself with deep worship. The introduction highlights some of Ibn al-Qayyim's influential books on Islamic education and theology.
The document discusses and compares the qualities of people of Jannah (Paradise) and Jahannam (Hell).
For people of Jahannam, it lists qualities to avoid such as shirk (associating partners with God), following desires over God's commands, and pride.
For people of Jannah, it emphasizes they will enter based not on deeds alone but on God's mercy. Qualities mentioned include being easygoing, gentle in speech, and close to people. Having taqwa (God-consciousness) and good character are also emphasized.
The belief in unseen is the first characteristic of the righteous believers; because it distinguishes them from the atheists who want a concrete materialistic physical proof to believe.
The document discusses rights and responsibilities in Islam. It outlines rights owed to Allah (huquq ul Allah), which include worshipping Allah alone and following the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. It also outlines rights owed to other people (huququl ibaad), which include treating parents, spouses, siblings, neighbors, and all people with compassion. The document emphasizes following the example set by the Prophet Muhammad in all aspects of life and speech. It also stresses the importance of sending blessings upon the Prophet when his name is mentioned.
The document discusses the importance of being truthful with Allah. It provides verses from the Quran emphasizing having taqwa (piety, fear of Allah) and speaking the truth. It states that true believers should have inner states that match their outward appearances and actions. Being truthful means one's hidden characteristics are the same as what is openly shown. While some truthful people have even better inner qualities, eventually a person's inner and outer realities will be revealed by Allah.
The document provides several dhikr (remembrances of Allah) to recite after completing salah (formal prayers). It includes:
1. Reciting "Astaghfirullah" (I ask Allah for forgiveness) three times after every salah.
2. Reciting a prayer asking Allah for peace and blessings once after every salah.
3. Reciting a prayer asking Allah for help in remembering, being grateful to, and worshipping Him in the best manner once after every salah.
4. Reciting the Shahadah (declaration of faith) ten times after Fajr and Maghrib prayers.
5. Reciting additional prayers seeking Paradise
The document discusses the importance of memorizing and reciting Soorat Al-Kahf according to teachings from Prophet Muhammad. It states that memorizing the first 10 verses will protect one from the false messiah (Dajjaal) and reciting the entire soorah as it was revealed will serve as light on the Day of Judgment. It also notes that reciting the last 10 verses after the Dajjaal appears will mean he has no power over that person. The soorah contains lessons on having good companions, knowing the impermanence of worldly life, humility, sincerity, and trials related to religion, wealth, knowledge and authority that people will face prior to Judgment Day.
This document provides several du'aas (supplications) for different times in Ramadan, including when sighting the new moon, breaking one's fast (iftar), during the last ten days, and more. It then shares a hadith about the most comprehensive du'aa taught by the Prophet Muhammad which asks Allah for good and refuge from evil as the Prophet sought, acknowledges Allah as the one from whom help is sought, and affirms that there is no power except with Allah. This du'aa is recommended for those unable to remember many prayers.
The document discusses the importance of following the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It states that obeying and emulating the Prophet means implementing his teachings and commands in the same way he instructed. It emphasizes that obeying the Prophet is essential and obligatory for all Muslims, as Allah commands Muslims to obey the Prophet in the Quran.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375
