The belief in unseen is the first characteristic of the righteous believers; because it distinguishes them from the atheists who want a concrete materialistic physical proof to believe.
we need to know how Satan works. We need to know something of his character, something of his person, something of his approach. And since we have the Word of God which unmasks Satan's disguises and which reveals his schemes, there's really no reason to be ignorant. What we're attempting to do in our study together is simply open the pages of the Word of God and show you what God has revealed about our enemy.

When she expressed concern for his condition, he assured her it was only temporary weakness. He then placed his cloak over both of them, at which point she saw his face illuminated as if it were a full moon. She remained with him, experiencing complete peace and serenity until her cousin Hasan arrived and the Prophet greeted him with kindness and affection.
Two angels came to Sodom to rescue Lot and his family before destroying the city. They warned Lot about God's plan to destroy Sodom for its wickedness. When Lot did not leave quickly enough, the angels grabbed his hand and those of his wife and daughters, leading them safely out of the city.
Jacob dreamed of a ladder reaching from earth to heaven with angels ascending and descending. God appeared to Jacob and promised to protect him wherever he went.
King Balak of Moab sent messengers to summon Balaam, but God told Balaam not to go with them. Despite this, Balaam went with the Moabite officials, angering God. An angel blocked Bala
When a person looks around him he will see all these communities whom all ascribe themselves to Islām, and all of them claim to work for the sake of raising its flag and spreading it. At this point none is able to separate the truth from the falsehood and the light from the darkness, except the one who obtained the light of Allāh in his heart, and has opened up towards it and is pleased with it, so he (as a result of this) walks upon the straight path.

The Bell Curve of Arabic Civilization. Arabic influence on Spanish.Ayman Refaat
The document discusses the history of Arabic civilization and its influence on Spain. It begins with an overview of Ibn Khaldun's theory of the rise and fall of civilizations. It then discusses Arab history before Islam, the origins and teachings of Islam, and the history of Al-Andalus - the Arab empire in Spain/Portugal under Islamic rule. Key points include the population diversity, economic prosperity, and scientific/cultural achievements of Al-Andalus that influenced Renaissance Europe, as well as the architectural and linguistic influences still seen today.
The document discusses divinely revealed books in Islam. It mentions that Muslims believe in all books revealed by God, including the Torah given to Moses, Psalms given to David, and the Gospel. Why is the paradise only for those who believe and have good deeds? Belief only is not good enough, and good deeds only is not good enough.
First, logically you cannot be something you deny. You will not go to a school if you deny there is a school. Same thing you cannot go to the paradise if you deny it.
Second, the paradise in hereafter will be for those who try to make the worldly life as a paradise on the earth, by improving it and helping others. That is the good deeds.
The document discusses the concepts of free will and freedom of choice in Islam. It argues that while humans have free will, it operates within limits determined by God. While people can choose between right and wrong, they are still accountable for their choices. It also discusses how Islam guarantees freedom of religion for all, since it considers itself the same eternal message revealed to previous prophets, and the Quran speaks respectfully of people of other faiths who believe in God and do good deeds.
The document discusses issues that some Muslims struggle with in practicing their faith, such as addiction or not being able to pray five times a day. It argues that while certain sins like drinking alcohol are forbidden in Islam, they do not invalidate one's religion or identity as a Muslim as long as they do not associate other gods with Allah. The document encourages Muslims to continue striving to improve while acknowledging they will never be perfect, and cautions against an attitude of harsh judgment towards other Muslims or creating an unrealistic image of perfection. It emphasizes the importance of sincerity in faith over superficial appearances or showing off.
The document discusses different types of knowledge in Islam and the duties of Muslims to seek knowledge. It states that there are two types of duties in Islam: individual duties that every Muslim must perform, and sufficiency duties that are fulfilled by the Muslim community as a whole.
The basic knowledge needed to practice the religion, like knowing the five pillars of Islam, is an individual duty. More advanced religious and linguistic knowledge required to interpret scripture and be an Islamic scholar is a sufficiency duty, not obligatory for every individual. While all religions encourage seeking knowledge, Islam uniquely considers it a duty upon followers. However, ignorance of religious laws excuses those trying to follow them, but not ignorance of positive laws. The document emphasizes that
Islam is a religion for all human everywhere and every timeAyman Refaat
Islam is meant for all people everywhere and throughout time, not just for certain groups or places. The document discusses three reasons why Muslims should follow Islam itself and not just other Muslims. First, Islam as transmitted by God and the Prophet Muhammad is perfect, while Muslims as human beings are imperfect. Second, after the Prophet's death Muslims divided into sects and schools of thought. Third, Islamic civilization has been stagnant for eight centuries, but Islam encourages independent reasoning and thinking rather than blindly following traditions.

It explains that religion and spirituality aim to affect the individual, not God. Trust in God, self-confidence, and respecting others are presented as important aspects of Islamic spirituality.
Islamophobia refers to prejudice against or hatred of Muslims. The document discusses some of the key reasons for and consequences of Islamophobia. The main reasons given are terrorism by some Muslim extremist groups and underlying racism in Western societies. Some politicians exploit fears of terrorism to promote anti-Muslim policies. Media coverage also fuels Islamophobia by disproportionately linking Islam with terrorism. Consequences include stereotyping of Muslims, discrimination, hate crimes against Muslims rising, and policies targeting mosques and Muslim students.
1) Religion involves a collective, traditional organization with shared beliefs and practices, while spirituality is a personal journey without required formats.
2) Religion emphasizes institutions and shared traditions, while spirituality emphasizes the individual's search for life's meaning.
3) Spirituality involves self-discovery, mindfulness, simplicity, and creative expression to achieve inner peace and a link to nature, without relying on formal religion.
The sin in Abrahamic (monotheistic) religionsAyman Refaat
God created humans with free will to choose between obedience and sin. While worldly desires are natural, following them without restraint leads to corruption of the soul over time. Sin violates God's instructions and harms not just the sinner, but others through corrupted actions. However, God is also merciful - forgiving all sins if one repents sincerely and strives to purify themselves. As long as we are alive, God gives opportunity to repent from past mistakes and change our ways going forward.
The document discusses Lawrence Kohlberg's theory of moral development. Kohlberg proposed that moral reasoning progresses through six stages grouped into three levels - pre-conventional, conventional, and post-conventional. At the pre-conventional level, reasoning is based on obedience and self-interest. At the conventional level, maintaining social order and relationships is important. At the post-conventional level, reasoning is based on abstract ethical principles and justice. Kohlberg believed people progress sequentially through these stages as their reasoning becomes more sophisticated.
Culture is a complex concept that can be summarized as follows:
Culture refers to the shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, as well as the symbolic systems, beliefs and values that are learned and transmitted by a group of people. It includes language, religion, values, social organizations, and other elements that provide meaning and identity to the group. A culture is learned, shared, dynamic and integrated, and is based on symbols that are assigned meaning. Core cultural values vary across societies but often include concepts like individualism, equal opportunity, and material acquisition that are dominant in American culture.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. Unseen
• The second pillar/ article of faith in Islam is the belief in the angels.
• Angels are a part of the world of the “Unseen” which we cannot
comprehend.
• The belief in unseen is the first characteristic of the righteous
believers; because it distinguishes them from the atheists who want
a concrete materialistic physical proof to believe.

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those
conscious of Allah - Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and
spend out of what We have provided for them, And who believe in
what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was
revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].
(2:2-3)
3. Physical Characteristics
• Angels are celestial spiritual beings that cannot be
perceived by sensory organs, and they were created
from light before creating the human beings.

'A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger ()ﷺ said:
The angels were created from light, just as the jinn were created from
smokeless fire and Adam was created from what you have been told
about (in the Qur'an)’ (i. e. he is fashioned out of clay).
Sahih Muslim 2996 - Book 55, Hadith 78
4. • Quran informed us that the angels have wings.
• Some of them have two wings, some have three or four,
and some have more than that.

[All] praise is [due] to Allah , Creator of the
heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels
messengers having wings, two or three or four. He
increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is
over all things competent. (35:1)
5. • Angels are able to take human form, like Gabriel came in
human form to announce to Mary, mother of Jesus, the
God’s message.

And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary,
when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east.
And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her
Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned
man.
She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so
leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah ."
He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news
of] a pure boy." (19:16-19)
6. • Angels also came in human form to Prophets Abraham,
Lot, and Muhammad. Even the companions of Prophet
Muhammad saw the angel Gabriel in human form.

And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with
good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did
not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf.
But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he
distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They
said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot."
(11:69-70)
7. Mental Characteristics
• Unlike humans or jinn, Angels lack free will;
because they do not have reason, and they have no
biological needs and therefore no lower desires
predicted by the natural world. So they are not
subject to temptation. They just strictly obey God's
commands.
They do not disobey God in what He commands
them but do what they are commanded. (66:6)
8. • The angels opposed creating the human being because they predicted that the human being
will cause corruption on the earth and shed blood.
• But they did not have any choice to prostrate to Adam or not when God commanded them.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make
upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes
corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah
said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."
And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and
said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."
They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us.
Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise."
He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their
names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the
earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed."
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated,
except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.
9. Their Tasks
• They are delegated different tasks to perform.
• For example, the angel Gabriel (Jibreel) is called the Holy
Spirit because he is the source of prophetic or divine
revelation, and responsible for carrying the revelations to
prophets.

Say, "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is [none but] he who
has brought the Qur'an down upon your heart, [O Muhammad],
by permission of Allah , confirming that which was before it and
as guidance and good tidings for the believers." (2:97)

• And We did certainly give Moses the Torah and
followed up after him with messengers. And We
gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and
supported him with the holy Spirit. (2:87)
11. • Beside Gabriel, Quran mentioned other angels, such
as Mikal (Michael).
Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His
messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, Allah is
an enemy to the disbelievers. (2:98)
12. • The angel of death is responsible for parting the soul
from the body of the dead.
Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been
entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be
returned." (32:11)
13. • Angels of punishment (Zabaniyya) are Guardians of
Hell.
Then let him call his associates; We will call the
angels of Hell. (96:17-18)
14. • The guardian angels (Hafaza) help the person fight attacks from the Devils and demons,
and keep people from death until its decreed time and who bring down blessings.
And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until,
when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their
duties]. (6:61)
For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of
Allah . (13:11)
Also, they keep track of every good and bad deed that each person performs in their books.
On the Day of Judgment, they will be used to determine if this person is worthy of admission
into paradise.

And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, Noble and recording; They know whatever
you do. (82:10-12)
15. Jinn
• In addition to the angels, we believe in the existence of another
invisible creature, which is Jinn. While the angels were created
from light, the Jinn were created from fire.
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
(55:15)
16. • Maybe the angels were created from the light of fire, and the
Jinn were created from the flame of fire. Unlike angles, Jinn
have the freedom of choice, so there are believer Jinn and
disbeliever Jinn. The disbeliever Jinn are called devils or
demons. They are descendants or helpers of the Devil (Satan).
God warned us of them, because they tempt humans to sin and
cause despair and doubt.

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam,"
and they prostrated, except for Satan (Iblees). He was of the jinn
and departed from the command of his Lord. Then will you take
him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are
enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an
exchange. (18:50)
17. • Whisperings of demons may enter the hearts of humans,
especially in states of strong emotion like depression or
anger.

of mankind. The God of mankind, From the evil of the
retreating whisperer - Who whispers [evil] into the breasts
of mankind - From among the jinn and mankind." (114:1-6)
18. • There is a complete chapter (surah) in the Qur'an
called (The Jinn). This chapter informs us that
Prophet Muhammad was not sent as a prophet only
to all the human beings, but also to the jinn.

• Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said,
'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an. It guides to the right course, and we have
believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. And [it teaches] that
exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son. And that our foolish
one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression. And we had thought that
mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. And there were men from
mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.
And they had thought, as you thought, that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger].
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and
burning flames. And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now
will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. And we do not know [therefore] whether evil
is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course. And
among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways.
And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we
escape Him by flight. And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever
believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden. And among us are Muslims [in
submission to Allah ], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim -
those have sought out the right course. But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
(72:1-15)
20. • In addition, qur’anic discourse, in many parts, was addressed to
both the human beings and the jinn, as the second person or the
hearer.

O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass
beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass.
You will not pass except by authority [from Allah ].
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
(55:33-34)
21. • Actually, God created both for the same purpose.

worship Me.
I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them
to feed Me.
Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm
possessor of strength. (51:56-58)
22. • God subjected the Jinn to the prophet Solomon to build
and dive for him.

And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and
men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows. (27:17)
23. • Prophet Solomon died while he was leaning on his stick. As he remained
upright, propped on his stick, the jinn thought he was still alive and
supervising them, so they continued to work, until a bug ate Solomon's stick
and then his body collapsed, so the Jinn realized that he was died.

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind - its morning [journey was that of] a
month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a month, and We made flow for
him a spring of [liquid] copper. And among the jinn were those who worked for
him by the permission of his Lord. And whoever deviated among them from Our
command - We will make him taste of the punishment of the Blaze. They made
for him what he willed of elevated chambers, statues, bowls like reservoirs, and
stationary kettles. [We said], "Work, O family of David, in gratitude." And few of
My servants are grateful. And when We decreed for Solomon death, nothing
indicated to the jinn his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. But
when he fell, it became clear to the jinn that if they had known the unseen, they
would not have remained in humiliating punishment. (34:12-14)
24. • Some Muslims believe in some superstitions about Jinn,
such as that jinn can enter human bodies, they have
amorous affairs with humans, or somebody saw them. But
the Quran states that no person can see the jinn.

O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed
your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing
to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and
his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have
made the devils allies to those who do not believe. (7:27)
25. Satan
• Like Adam is the father of human beings, Satan
(Iblis) is the father of devils or demons (disbeliever
Jinn). Satan was with Angels in the heaven when
God commanded them to prostrate to Adam, but he
did not prostrate. So he disobeyed God, and Quran
considered that as disbelieving in God. So
disbelieving in God is not just to deny His
existence, but also disobeying Him.
26. • But why were angels commanded to prostrate to Adam?
It might be to uncover the haughtiness of the Iblis, or
because human are thought to rank higher than angels.
Humans supremacy, is due to that human is able to
evolve and therefore overcome his flaws, although they,
unlike angles, shed blood.

27. [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels:
• "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. So when I have proportioned him and breathed
into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."
So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the
disbelievers. [God] said,
• "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you
arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"
He said,
• "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."
[God] said,
• "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day
of Recompense."
He said,
• "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."
[God] said,
• "So indeed, you are of those reprieved. Until the Day of the time well-known."
[Iblees] said,
• "By your might, I will surely mislead them all. Except, among them, Your chosen servants.“
[God] said,
• "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that
follow you all together." (38:71-85)
