It is no longer a supporting function. CEO’s say that technology represents one of their biggest opportunities to create growth. To survive and thrive in today’s digital economy, companies must treat their technology as part of the fabric of their business, a toolkit that is used to reimagine and reshape everything in the business – products, processes, supply chains and the way our people work.
- #4 Now when we think of digital we often think about digital media, social software, big data, IOT. These are the very visible technology innovations. But behind this, there are some foundations, infrastructure fundamentals that need to be in place to enable change and that hold UK businesses back. Firstly, the business must be securely connected. High speed, reliable and secure connection to the internet, fixed and mobile, is an absolute must for a thriving modern business. But managing the dichotomy between being open and extensible to a world where everybody is mobile and connected, whilst keeping your data secure is a constant challenge.
