Tata Motors enters Algeria with a range of passenger cars
Tata Motors announced the launch of its passenger vehicle range in Algeria. The range includes the Tata Indica and Tata Vista from the hatchback range, and the Tata Indigo and Tata Manza from the sedans. The company has appointed SPA Elsecom for distribution and marketing of the Tata passenger vehicles in Algeria. The new range is now available in dealerships for sale.
Bajaj Auto up 2%, Deutsche Bank upgrades to hold from sell
Shares of Bajaj Auto gained as much as 2 percent on hopes of strong growth in premium motorcycles business. Deutsche Bank upgraded the stock to hold from sell earlier with a 17 percent increase in target price to Rs 2100 apiece. The rating upgrade by brokerage was on the bank of likely market share gains for Bajaj in domestic motorcycles.
Tata Comm up on reports of foreign brokerage
Shares of Tata Communications gained over 4%, touching, on reports that a foreign brokerage has re-initiated coverage on the stock with a buy rating. The company is back on growth and profitability track and its core business turnaround will be led by enterprise data.
RIL to save $450 mn/yr by importing ethane from US
Reliance Industries will save about USD 450 million annually by importing 1.5 million tons ethane from US for its petrochemical plant. Imported Ethane will substitute its current propane imports and a portion of naphtha used for ethylene production. Reliance recently announced its plans to import 1.5 million tons per annum of ethane from North America which will be used as a feedstock in its existing crackers in India.
