Green Net Finland
• Green Net Finland is a Finnish cleantech business network that brings
together the expertise and resources of Finnish cleantech companies,
public authorities and scientific and educational institutions in order to:
1. Support the member businesses’ and especially SMEs’ growth of business,
know-how and internationalisation / export.
2. Improve the implementation of cleantech innovations in order to create low-
carbon urban environment.
3. Build up network collaboration and create new value chains.
• We operate via development projects utilizing various funding
instruments – mainly European:
– Since 2001 Green Net Finland has implemented approximately 30 large scale
development projects with total volume of 25 million euro.

call priority ”More exports by the Central Baltic
companies to new markets”
• Two thematic focuses: Energy efficiency in urban
environment and water solutions
• Two market areas: North-West Russia/St.-
Petersburg and Central Asia
• Partners: Finnish Water Forum (Lead partner),
Green Net Finland and Cleantech Latvia
• Duration: 1.9.2015 – 31.8.2018

CB2East project objectives
• Search new tools and areas for collaboration
between Finnish and Latvian cleantech clusters
and key partners in the target markets.
• Creating unique combinations based on new
value chains to offer holistic and service-oriented
solutions based on target market needs.
• Searching business leads for Finnish and Latvian
cleantech solutions in St.Petersburg and Central
Asian market.

Work focus (initial)
• Energy efficient retrofitting of (residential) buildings:
– Energy audits
• Investment models for retrofitting, mainly ESCO-model
• Energy efficient retrofitting potential related to regional
programme for modernisation of residental buildings,
