Cyberbullying 
 Use of electronic information and means of communication 
such as email, social networks, blogs, instant messaging, 
text messages, mobile phones, and defamatory websites to 
harass an individual or group, using personal attacks or 
other means. It may constitute a criminal offence. 
 The cyberbullying is willful and involves recurrent and 
repeated harm inflicted through the medium of electronic 
text.
Acts of direct harassment of 
cyberbullying… 
 Posts by harassment from Instant Messaging (chat, 
MSN, Skype, Yahoo Messenger...) 
 Theft of passwords for email accounts and web user 
 Offensive comments in blogs and web sites 
 Sending images through e-mail and mobile phones 
 Sending malicious code and viruses to the harassed 
victim email 
 Sending porn and junk emails 
 “Phishing”
10 basic tips against the 
cyberbullying 
1. Do not you answer to provocations, ignore them. Count up to one 
hundred and think of something else. 
2. Behave with education in the network. Use Netiquette. 
3. If they bother you, leave the connection and ask for help. 
4. Do not provide personal data. You will feel more protected. 
5. Do not do online what they would not do in the face. 
6. If you harass, save the evidence. 
7. When they bother you to use an online service, ask your manager to 
help. 
8. Do not think that you are all safe on the other side of the screen. 
9. It warns who abused that it is committing a crime. 
10. If there are serious threats asking for help urgently.
