Project Title: Dual Tone multiple frequency using MT8870
Description: The aim of this project is to control home appliances using telephone when nobody present in
the house. The system mainly consists of IC MT 8870, PIC controller, 555 timer, segment driver, cellular phone
and some relays. This project uses DTMF decoder which decodes tone generated by the keypad of cell phone.
When any key on mobile phone while call is in progress, the other person hear tones corresponding the keys
and that corresponding device switch on. These tones are based on the DTMF technology.
Mini Project:
Project Title: PIC Sonar using ultrasonic
Description: The aim of this project is rang finding using ultrasonic sound which is basically used in
medical system to create negative image of human body and also used in ship to measure depth of the
ocean. This project consists of microcontroller 16F88, IR sensor, ultrasonic receiver and transmitter and
seven segments. The PIC sonar range finder works by transmitting a short pulse of sound at a frequency
inaudible to the ear afterwards the microcontroller listen’s the eco. The time from transmission to eco
reception lets we calculate distance from the objects.
