Key Qualification Around 9 years of experience in the design and supervision of projects
both in Ethiopia and Germany
 During tendering process determination of quantities and design of
optimal variety for the problem at hand.
 Geotechnical and structural design of deep Excavation pits with

Description It is one of the key transport infrastructure projects planned to ensure the
efficient transport connections of international port and port-related indus-
trial areas to the A27 motorway. To achieve that the current road has been
planned to go through a tunnel. For that an open excavation pit with depth
up to 16m and length of app. 1,2km has been planned.
The construction cost is approximately € 120 million.

Description As part of the infrastructure redevelopment project ‘’Kombilösung’’ light
rail tunnel is to be realized under the street of Kaiserstraße in east-west
direction in Karlsruhe. This is later to be complemented by a southern
branch.
The assignment of the Consulting Engineers has been the structural de-
sign of the excavation walls and the station buildings to create modern,
comfortable and secure underground train stations.
The construction has been planned in such a way that the interruption of
the existing transportation system would be kept to the minimum (using
cut and cover method).
The retaining wall is made up of bored pile walls and diaphragm walls.
They are supported by a reinforced concrete slab on the head and on the
foot through anchored jet-grouting support base.
