She has worked on field surveillance of mosquitoes, enteric disease investigations, and statistical analysis projects. Ryan has also conducted research in tissue culture, molecular genetics, and worked as a microbiology lab technician. She received a BS in Microbiology from the University of Arizona and an MPH in Epidemiology.
