JUNE 2016-PRESENT LEXINGTON, KY
 Perform blood draws and muscle biopsies on horses to analyze the effects of
dexamethasone on insulin resistance.
 Execute Western blots,blood glucose and insulin determinations,and High
Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC) analyses on the acquired samples.
 Assistin feeding and care of the horses.
VETERINARY NURSE LANSDOWNE VETERINARY CLINIC
JULY 2015-PRESENT LEXINGTON, KY
 Aid Doctors Wynn, Hill,and Pinkston in a variety of surgeries including dental
cleanings,spays/neuters,tumor removals,etc.
 Manage the intubation,catheter placement,and care of animals when under
anesthesia for surgeries.
 AssistDoctors in appointments byperforming blood draws,internal parasite
screens,and heartworm tests,as well as administer vaccines and fill prescriptions.
 Assure the clients are receiving the bestcare for their animals.
 Build strong relationships with the clients and their pets.
 Keep the clinic clean and organized.
STUDY ABROAD INTERNATIONAL STUDIES ABROAD (ISA)
MAY 2015-JUNE 2015 MALAGA, SPAIN
 Studied abroad in Malaga, Spain for four weeks.While there, I took International
Marketing and International Relations atthe University of Malaga.
 Engaged in experiences far outside ofmy comfort zone and gained the ability to
interact with people differentfrom myself.
 Immersed myselffullyin the Spanish culture by living with a native family for the
duration of my stay.

of selenium on tissue specific expression ofgenes in cattle.

 Performed data entry, as well as the organized the results into a comprehensible
table for the final lab report.
 Helped to keep the lab clean.

 Shadowed the surgeons from Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists during the 2014
Winter Intercession.Iwas able to witness first-hand manysurgeries thatDr.
Graehler,Dr. Neat, Dr. Applewhite,and Dr. Clark deal with on a day-to-day basis.
These surgeries included the common TPLOsurgeryfor an ACL tear, as well as
surgeries thatdealtwith biopsies,mass removals,herniated disks, and cataracts.
INTERN SECOND CHANCES WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTER
MAY 2014-AUGUST 2014 GOSHEN, KY
 Administered vaccines and medicines to injured wild animals including raccoons,
opossums,groundhogs,skunks,and flying squirrels.
 Managed the feeding and cleaning ofover 40 wildlife animals and their cages in
order to ensure their health and well-being,as well as provide them with a clean
environment.
LIFE GUARD PROFESSIONAL POOL MANAGEMENT

 Ensured patron safety by keeping swimmers outofdanger and by taking action
when an emergencyoccurred.
