connected knowledge graph of Life Science Linked Data. Each dataset is expressed using its own vocabulary, thereby hindering integration, search, query, and browse data across similar or identical types of data. With growth and content changes in source data, a manual approach to maintain mappings has proven untenable. The aim of this work is to develop a (semi)automated procedure to generate high quality mappings
between Bio2RDF and SIO using BioPortal ontologies. Our preliminary results demonstrate that our approach is promising in that it can find new mappings using a transitive closure between ontology mappings. Further development of the methodology coupled with improvements in
the ontology will offer a better-integrated view of the Life Science Linked Data

Non-targeted screening, targeted screening and suspect screening, as well as “Known Unknowns” and “Unknown Unknowns” are now common terms in the field of water analysis. While data processing can be highly automated, the identification of chemicals from extracted masses, formulae or fragmentation utilizes reference spectral libraries or identification and ranking of tentative candidate lists from large structure libraries. The US-EPA CompTox Chemicals Dashboard (https://comptox.epa.gov/dashboard) provides access to data for ~875,000 substances, searchable by mass and formula and then ranked using associated meta-data. Cheminformatics approaches are also utilized to provide mapped relationships between individual substances and their “MS-Ready” (desalted, non-stereospecific) forms. This presentation will review how the freely available Dashboard application can be utilized to support structure identification using mass spectrometry and our efforts to enhance the application using computational spectral fragmentation and access to predicted data such as relative retention time index values and computed collision cross section values to support ion mobility spectrometry. Resources for genomics research
The Rat Genome Database (RGD) provides several genomics tools and resources for researchers, including GBrowse for visualizing and exploring the rat genome, GViewer for viewing genomic regions associated with functions and phenotypes, and RatMine for flexible searching and analysis of integrated rat data. RGD has recently updated GBrowse with new functionality and improved performance, and also provides SNPlotyper for viewing strain-specific SNPs and the Human Genome Browser for comparative purposes. These tools integrate data from multiple sources to facilitate genomics research on the rat model.

Richard Resnick, CEO of II-SDV, discussed the challenges of keyword and biological sequence searching in life sciences. Integrating the two search types can provide more relevant results from broad patent authority coverage. However, keyword searching in life sciences is challenging due to issues like spelling variations and domain-specific terminology. Sequence searching also presents challenges regarding alignment and interpretation of results. Building reports from different search platforms is further challenging due to inconsistencies in output formats and a lack of cross-platform integration. An integrated life science search platform could provide a complete report for analysis by combining text and sequence search results into a single workfile.

Most of the pain and suffering that occurs in bioinformatics happens when database identifier 'A' in file 1, doesn't quite match database identifier 'B' in file 2...even when they are supposed to be the same identifier.

Web Apollo is a web-based, collaborative genomic annotation editing platform. We need annotation editing tools to modify and refine precise location and structure of the genome elements that predictive algorithms cannot yet resolve automatically.
This presentation is an introduction to how the manual annotation process takes place using Web Apollo. It is addressed to the members of the Biomphalaria glabatra research community.

Harvester I
Bioinformatic Harvester is a software tool that acts as a meta search engine for genes and protein information. It collects and indexes data from 16 major bioinformatics databases and allows users to search across these databases simultaneously. Search results are displayed on a single HTML page and are ranked based on relevance. Users can query the system using terms like gene names, sequences, protein domains, and literature to retrieve integrated information from databases on genes and proteins.

1. The main activity of TAIR curators is producing a 'gold standard' annotated reference genome dataset by integrating experimental data from research literature. New annotations are constantly added.
2. One common use of TAIR is to infer the function of genes in agriculturally important species based on orthology to Arabidopsis genes.
3. TAIR's annotations are used in applications such as functional categorization and term enrichment. It is important to use the latest annotation file from TAIR.
Toxic Comment Classification
Building a multi headed model thats capable of detecting different types of toxicity like threats, obscenity, insult and identity based hate. Discussing things you care about can be difficult. The threat of abuse and harassment online means that many people stop expressing themselves and give up on seeking different opinions. Platforms struggle to efficiently facilitate conversations, leading many communities to limit or completely shut down user comments. So far we have a range of publicly available models served through the perspective APIs, including toxicity. But the current models still make errors, and they dont allow users to select which type of toxicity theyre interested in finding. 2016 Summer - Araport Project Overview Leaflet
Araport is an open-source data platform established by the NSF and BBSRC to provide plant scientists access to Arabidopsis genomic data. It houses various types of data through components like ThaleMine, JBrowse, and Science Apps. The latest release, Araport11, contains revised gene annotations from RNA-seq data and contributions from various groups. ThaleMine allows users to access expression, ortholog, interaction and other data, analyze gene lists, and share queries. JBrowse hosts over 100 tracks including Araport11 updates and RNA-seq data for browsing. Araport also features apps and a developer community to expand its resources and analyses.

Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

- 1. Tutorial: Controlled Vocabulary (CV) Search on population data Workbench This CV Search is designed to help researchers for completing data input file using common terms for population data Workbench.
- 5. 2. Type in a phrase Type in a word or phrase of which CV id you are looking for. For example, type ‘ larvae ’ and a drop box will display all terms that include ‘larvae’.
- 6. 3. Select a term for detailed info. Among the list, ‘ collection of larvae from dippers ’ is showing in a drop box. Click with left mouse button and the right panel will display detailed information regarding the selected term. Term id is shown in green starting with ‘MIRO:’ which indicates the ontology set it belong to. Use this id to fill in Workbench data input form.
